Hot Shot Tottenham - Gareth Dace is back!

Author Gareth Dace returns to CADS to talk about his new book Hot Shot Tottenham—a definitive look at Spurs in the 1980s. We cover the legends (Steve Perryman, Glenn Hoddle, Ossie Ardiles, Ricky Villa, Crooks & Archibald, Gary Mabbutt), the cups of ’81/’82 and ’84, the 1985 title push, and how the decade’s end set up the rollercoaster 90s.Gareth explains the research and first-hand interviews (Perryman, Clive Allen, Vinnie Samways, Tony Parks, Terry Gibson, Guy Butters), and we dig into Irving Scholar’s commercial vision—kits, boxes, PLC—and the pros and cons. We also hit the “three superstars” idea (Gazza, Waddle, Lineker), the Waddle sale to Marseille, and why the Spurs academy quietly powered the era.📘 Hot Shot Tottenham is out 15 Sept 2025 (Amazon, Waterstones & indie bookshops; direct order link below).https://90sspursbook.square.site/🎙️ Gareth’s nostalgia pod: Is Gascoigne Going to Have a Crack?
