Join the Discord https://discord.gg/dYhnmwQANb In this episode of Sketching Up, Chris Schnabel and Matt Tornetta kick back for a fun discussion packed with Nintendo hot takes, gaming debates, music nostalgia, and pop culture opinions. From the return of Chappelle's Show on Tubi to heated arguments over The Legend of Zelda, Mario, and open-world gaming, this episode is full of bold opinions that Nintendo fans won't all agree with. The episode starts with a look at the upcoming Fourth of July weekend before diving into one of the internet's favorite topics: hot takes. Chris argues that the Baha Men deserve more respect than simply being labeled a one-hit wonder, while the hosts debate how music influences shopping experiences and why curated playlists can completely change the atmosphere of stores and restaurants. The conversation then shifts into gaming, where Matt shares his thoughts on My Adventures with Superman before Chris breaks down confusing Animal Crossing news and the duo launches into a series of Nintendo hot takes. They debate whether The Legend of Zelda is overrated, discuss whether open-world games are actually hurting the industry, argue over Mario and Princess Peach's relationship, defend Rosalina, and explain why Waluigi might be the most overrated Nintendo character. The episode wraps up with one opinion both hosts completely agree on: Nintendo needs to finally make a brand-new Mario Baseball game for the Switch 2. If you love Nintendo, Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, video games, gaming nostalgia, Superman, animation, and pop culture discussions, this episode is for you.
