In the dead of night as people sleep that is when the spirits creep as the bell tolls three Dark things take power. We like to call it the supernatural Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. This is your host Raven. This is Chad.

This is Drake. Hopefully this time We don't have a car that takes on my powerful Not so much for you No fun to be sitting there and suddenly no power and castle punk is in aruba They can't really really bad for him. Yeah, he's punk so but he still sponsors the castle photo art stuff He does so go to castle photo art for all of your photography needs. He does a great job Yeah, and probably Having some great pictures of aruba soon.

So we'll see so we've got some really really cool investigations to tell you about Towards the end of the podcast. So stay tuned for those. I'm really excited especially the one in spring bill Oh my gosh, that was incredible in the meantime We want to give our shout out to our patrons you guys are awesome for a gazillion different reasons and We do still have a patreon sign up bonus swag bag of wonderfulness So it's not too late to grab that October. Oh my gosh guys.

We have been so busy and today we're recording It's the 29th today and Crazy we have one thing left which is helping radio Ronan host their patreon investigation which Is it neat? We can tell you where it is they announced it on their place We're going back to the key neat. So I'm excited to tell you everything that we find when we go there He wishes up next Jan. Do you want to talk a little bit about he wish?

Yeah, that'll be November Friday on the 14th and we're looking forward to it. I dropped off some QR codes to the Proprietor there and they're setting it up. They got us up getting us up on the marquee and getting the posters up So we're excited about that. It'll be we've never done a November public investigation.

We're looking forward to this We already have quite a few tickets sold We'll be sending out some emails to former people that have bought tickets to remind them that it's available But to go out to events paranormal calm and you can buy tickets out there You can also go to a bit bride and get them out there or find a QR code somewhere that has it and you can get them through there So yeah, we usually don't have a this is the first time we've had anything in November and part of that is we figured out Oh people don't want to do anything in November. They're trying to get some early Christmas shopping done They're trying to get ready for Thanksgiving blah blah blah but we've had a ton of interest in it and The fellow from the Huey sch called us instead are we gonna do something? We thought well the owner of the venue wants us to come we've had a ton of people say let's do something so we're gonna do it It's a great venue. It's very active.

It's one of our one of our darker ones for sure Alright, let's just jump right into our podcast if you get a I was gonna say what is our theme for the podcast this month? I'm getting there okay theme is of course things that happened on Halloween So if you get our patreon newsletter you get to see what we've got planned out for the entire quarter And you get sneak peek at what we're talking about so if you want to get a sneak peek at what's going on Hop on to our website become a patreon and you'll get all that inside business But at the bottom of that page or the top of the page somewhere on the page I made the page you think I would know but somewhere on that page there's a little asterisk and it says subject to change because sometimes things happen So what we were supposed to do tonight was called Halloween fright Halloween night fright at a pioneer cemetery in shagrove Idaho That being said I started to do the research for it and apparently chat GPT did me dirty So I could go online and research things that actually happened on Halloween night But that takes forever when chat GPT can just tell you apparently This little blurb wasn't something that actually happened. It's like the first line of a book Someone wrote Something like all this sucks. So I had to go in and say chat GPT.

I named mine Edward by the way I'm like Edward I need something that actually happened not aligned from the book So he actually gave me he meaning chat GPT Edward actually gave me something really good Instead of talking about some fictional line from a book We're gonna talk about a real thing which is Houdini's death. He actually died on Halloween night and then some interesting things came about Because of that so we're just gonna jump right into that And the our main topic about Houdini and everything that kind of happened around his death and the aftermath so to speak Is sponsored by the wild fizzle cafe. You need to go there and get to a sandwich and some food fantastic They've the way they've redone the interior is amazing So it's down in Santa Quinn might be a little ways away for some of you, but definitely worth the drive It's haunted. It's the old family tree.

Yes, it is So what I want you guys to do So let's just kind of set the tone for this when I teach piano I tell I'm always telling my students to set the tone for the music they're playing So here we go. I want you to close your eyes. You're gonna hear the crunch of leaves in a queen cemetery, okay? It's halloween night It's getting cold so your breath is turning to mist and you're gonna look over You're gonna see a small group of people in a circle when they're in the dark waiting for The most famous escape artist in history to try one last escape, but this one is from death They want to try to get him to escape from death So Houdini actually died on Halloween in 1926 And his widow her name was best So she kept a 10-year vigil of Halloween seances to see if he'd send a message that they had pre-arranged They'd come up with his secret coat and nearly a century later fans still gather every october 31st every Halloween night To listen for him and to see if he will send that coat.

So let's talk a little bit more about that So how did he die? He collapsed like we said late October 1926 But he didn't actually pass away until October 31 from paratunitis He had a rupture to pedic and so he's forever tied to Halloween because of that Tangent paratunitis sucks. I had it It was miserable. I mean it didn't go as far as Houdini and the medical people took care of it But yeah, I do not recommend it.

No put that on your thumbs down list You probably didn't have like further cause Houdini had it full No, I didn't try to escape from a water torture device. No, he was punched in the stomach. No Out I think I ate a bad hot dog Anyway back to your story Raven eating a bad hot dog give you a paratunitis I don't know what else it was. I don't think that's the thing.

I think you're making it up. Okay. So you remember what happened Yes, so I called doc for those of you that have listened to the podcast for a while You know who doc is I called doc and I said hey your dad is I'm wondering if he should go to the hospital because he was a very good And doc said if my dad is asking if he should go to the hospital take him to the hospital because he never complains And I went to the hospital and I had paratunitis and it was nothing Yeah, all right back to our main topic So the date that Houdini passing away on being Halloween is not just trivia. It's not just okay I know something interesting It's actually a yearly trigger that keeps this seance vigil alive So Halloween already gives us a lot of liminal stories But you add to that a world famous skeptic magician dying on that very day and boom You've just got an anniversary ritual that audiences will remember You could say if your death day is Halloween the world shows up to see if you'll RSVP So what are they RSVP in for?

We'll get into that But I'm gonna ask you guys a question we've talked for the last couple minutes about Halloween and how important that date is Do you guys think if he had died in April? Do you think there would still be an annual seance tradition or do you think that Halloween gives it more power than just anything else? I don't think it's the date or the time here. I think it's because it's Houdini and he had that Thing against seances that he doubted him So I think it wouldn't matter when of the year it is.

I think it's because people weren't the way he was people trying to see if he's Going against what he believed. Yeah, he was a debunker of a lot of the spiritualism movements I do think that Halloween adds to that though. I agree completely with rak on the Idea of it would still be happening and there would still be a loyal following doing that because of how famous Houdini was and everything else But I think you throw it in on Halloween night and that just adds an extra level for people I think the three of us pretty much agree on that topic I think that Houdini in and of himself was such a big draw We have talked about him debunking things when we've talked about other mediums Here and there and psychics here and there and some different podcasts that we've done I think that they would still do it But when they would do it, who knows what they do it on his death date if his death was another time Yeah, would they if it was just some random day in May? Yeah, I do think that the fact that it was on Halloween And just adds this puts an exclamation point on it But I think it would still be an annual thing for sure like we said earlier old Houdini and best agreed on a code word that no one knew besides best and The pact was whoever died first to try to kind of contact the other And since Houdini died first best held a thing on every single year for 10 years And then at the end of the line was 10 years enough to wait and She didn't know after that but best gave an answer to the world of Even if it wasn't the one that everyone wanted it was Houdini just didn't want to interact that way I think it's funny that she said 10 years as long enough to wait for any man She must have been a character So Jake you mentioned that it was 10 years Do you think that limit wasn't active love a scientific boundary?

Well, she just did she get tired of it more than what do you guys think? I think a little bit of both I think also maybe if she could have done it longer and she had more hope She would have probably done it until she she passed away But I think after 10 years that she was Like if he's not gonna contact me before now he's not going to Right. I think it was me after 10 years. I think well, this is starting to get embarrassing You know, I come here every year nothing happens.

So yeah, no Yeah, and to guard against fraud Houdini's had set a verifiable code and that code was rosabel From a song in best's act and it was engraved in her ring Cute the letter Spilling system the pattern famously resolved believe Mediums claimed success over the years, but no one was stood scrutiny The elegant example of controls in a paranormal test This was an elegant example of controls in paranormal test Codes raised the stakes and give people something concrete to latch onto this wasn't feelings. It was a pass fail key If you don't know the code, you don't get the ghost exactly and there's code words for everything I would say it's our typing for spirits Yes, we've got spirit typeings You've got your passwords on your computer for different things You've got your safe words If you're one of the gazillion women that read 50 Shades of Great. I did not I just know about it It's a way to verify things And if they in life came up with a code word when one or the other them died, it's not something that was super common And so if they got that they would say wow, this is really that person contacting me So I think it was a brilliant idea Yeah, and since they were going through mediums and people that purported to be able to do this Them having something concrete that they had agreed on it wasn't that the The medium could just probably guess at it. It would be something too unique and too specific About this that we can think about.

Do you think that safeguards like a secret code Makes you more open to the possibility or skeptical because it feels like a stunt I'd say a little bit of both because you have With the secret code only you and the person trying to contact knows Which means That medium because at the time a lot of them so-called mediums then would listen to you and whoever you came in with Before they did a reading got what they could but if you went in there without speaking that code anybody If they got that code, okay, they're legit and all that How about you, Jen? Yeah, I think the code words really help Valitify Things if someone says they can speak to someone on the other side when there's an upper rearrange word something like that I think it makes it a lot more credible Especially when the person that is still here that hasn't passed doesn't feel like the medium passed the scrutiny of the test We're got the code word for me. I've been agree with Drake. It's kind of both If there's a pre-arranged word and I got the word and it was on like a ghost hunt When investigation or something came through a spirit box or through the dowsing rod saying the ABC whatever and having the rods cross I would be a little more open to the possibility if it was something done with An audience I'd probably be more skeptical because who knows I'm skeptical of most mediums not all keep that in mind But most mediums especially the ones on TV and the little skeptical of so for me it would depend on the situation and how it was done So based on that what would you guys Consider or count as good enough because sometimes just random words will come through our itc machines Would you need the exact code what a partial phrase work?

Or is there something else that you would consider good enough evidence credible evidence? Chad, what do you think? I think That very skilled people can read people very well and get a lot of information from their body language and their things But if there's a code word or things like that's a lot harder You see some of these that'll say oh, I think there was a letter and it was B It was a bob or a bill and people can do things where they can eliminate things through the questions to pinpoint down to where The person being asked thinks they're the ones in charge and they're really not I used to do a card trick Where I would show a card to the person and then I could make them think that they were picking the card And then I would tell them what their card was and it was completely just auto suggestion There's a way to do that and when you get done people are amazed Well, how do you pick the right card out of that whole deck of 52 and it's like yeah because I was able to nail it right down. I knew what the card was and they Think they picked the card and I got it, but it isn't it's a trick It's a way to manipulate the person to come up with the card that you already know Right for me.

I think what would count it would I would pick a word as short because any evps that we've gotten have been short So for me good enough would have to be the exact word and they would have to be a short word Knowing that ghosts knowing that spirits sometimes you just get a yes But it would have to be something more than just yes because we get yes It's all the time so it would have to be a very distinct word it would have to be something unusual That's not just gonna crop so How about you Drake what would be good enough for you Like you just said Raven it's gonna be that exact that exact code Yeah, I agree All right, so let's get into some graveyard reality here because of this and just the fact that Houdini in and of himself is So famous and so he's Houdini for heaven's sake There's gonna be crowds vandalism and some difficulties in caretaking So Houdini is buried at and I'm not gonna say this right he's in Queens. It's mak mak mak pillow cemetery and Over decades. It's been over a hundred years next year, right? His monument draws pilgrimages, which is going to draw problems There is or was a life-size bust on top of his grave, which was the chamored by vandals in 1975 The site has needed repairs and eventually over time.

They were finally able to get a replacement so Houdini there's this halloween seance that they do and so Interest really kind of get uptick right around halloween and caretakers and fans have really just worked to balance access with preservation And they often shift commemorations off site or under a lot tighter supervision to protect the grounds And I would just think it would just get trampled and anybody buried near him just the grass is gonna get trampled But this kind of grounds the legend and stewardship. We need to remember that despite Stances despite pilgrimages despite whatever's going on cemeteries or sacred spaces and they have real maintenance and security concerns They're not theme park sets. They're not Someplace to go and have fun. I'm a backpepper I spend a lot of time in cemeteries at funerals for different things on a memorial day and the cemetery that I Go to every memorial day to play for a couple of hours Families will come out the whole families will come out and have a picnic they bring chairs the top the laugh I'm sure they're sharing stories of their loved ones So it's not that you can't have fun in the cemetery But it should be respectful fun for your family You don't just take the kids to cemeter to whip it up and have a good time The people that are there are remembering their family they're having respectful fun That's something that we need to remember that there's just a thin line between pilgrimage and a problem So here we go We're gonna get into some deep thinking here If you ran the cemetery would you open on Halloween with strict rules or would you keep it close and direct to the fans elsewhere?

How would you guys tackle this? Or are we talking about any cemetery or the cemetery where Houdini is where Houdini is? That's a good question I think I would leave it open And I'd leave it open because you're gonna have people breaking in anyway And you can at least go and monitor and know what's gonna happen and maybe have some security there How about you Jake? I agree with that but I'm also I'm gonna add There's gonna be like fence a gate or some somebody or some people That are standing close by so they can't get right up onto his monument I agree.

I think I would have this is how I would do it I would have the cemetery open all day so that people could come visit I would have security around to make sure that people behaved And then for the actual seance I think I would have a limited number of tickets to attend to keep that down to a minimum That's how I would do it So speaking of cemeteries What I know a lot of municipal cemeteries don't like people in after dark They don't like ghost hunters there And there are a few private ones that will let us in There's a few like marker where no one owns it. No one really cares about it Which is sad we care about it where you can just go anytime But what is one respectful practice you guys wish every paranormal tourist followed at grave sites And this is paranormal tourists not just any random old anybody But you like all the roles and laws that are set For me would just be respectful even though your ghost hunting is still a cemetery and still a secret place People are buried there and be respectful. That's what I would do Yeah, that's part of being respectful. Make sure you leave it better than you found it Don't leave trash.

Don't you know if you're doing things make sure you pick up after yourself I don't have a problem with leaving a token or a little offering or something like that At a grave site like many people do where the leaf rocks or pennies or something like that But don't trash the place one of the things that made me angry was when we did a marker cemetery Outing Raven and I and we went up there and this was a number of years ago And somebody had been digging up on one of the graves and Burning some of the slats from some of the fences and all that kind of thing And that actually got us to do a service project up at the cemetery to fix a lot of that stuff And we had another group that helped a lot with that what was it bore the off-road group Helped and we went up in whitewash fences and short things up and things like that But I think it's better to leave a place better than you found it and also to be respectful Yeah, I know we do a private cemetery every couple years and The last time we did it a couple days afterwards the owner called us And he knew that we hadn't done it because we've been there several times before he wanted to know if we had seen anybody or Could give him any information, but The night after we were there later people had come and vandalized they'd spray painted some of the statues I don't remember else what else because it's been better year and a half ago that that happened a year ago But it's yeah, I don't know why anybody vandalizes anything. That's just that's childish But yeah, just be respectful. All right, so what's happening now with the seance is The official who do you say on continues every Halloween, but now will rotate Was in our recent years have included appleton was constant, which is hudini's hometown Museums and theaters the format will use history history talk archival context and formal settings no one promises a message the draw is shared that maybe Community plus also wonders on the very day he died so nobody guarantees a voice, but only a room that's ready to listen Yeah, I like this idea of rotating the venues because it's great to do it in this grave site But if you rotate the venue you might be able to get more people in you might be able to accommodate more You're not doing so much damage On one venue. I think that's a great idea And so here's a good question though.

Why do you think people keep returning when there's never been a confirmed message or confirmed who do these there? Could it be the community ritual maybe it's education or maybe it's just the thrill For me it would be the thrill it would be maybe this time. Oh, maybe this time You know because we always tell people on ghost hunts ghost hunting is like fishing sometimes you're pulling fish Right and left and sometimes your ground worms and then there could be anything in between so Just ghost hunting that's like, oh, maybe I'll get an EVP this time. Oh, maybe I'll see an apparition this time Maybe this is the investigation that I'll hear another audible EVP So for me, I think it's the thrill of maybe tonight Yeah, and that's the way it is even with our paranormal investigations that we do that the venues we go to like the Jewish theater And we always seem to get something but we oftentimes get some really good things I'll say something else I don't remember.

So here's another question, Drake Do you think if we repeat the ritual does that make you does that English does that make it more meaningful over time? Even if there's no results I don't think it makes it more meaningful. I think it I don't think it also degrades it either I think it's it just becomes a community thing and maybe history thing But also it adds that Who knows baby? He'll finally choose to start talking to somebody I think so just the word I was gonna use was tradition Which is basically what you said it's more of a tradition and keeping that traditional life And then just not that I don't think who Dean is sort of people that will ever fade away into obscurity But it also keeps his memory alive as a war Yeah And I think that's I think that's good I think the history and people learning about Houdini even a hundred years later is interesting from historical standpoint and a culture standpoint So castle still in aruba.

He's still a punk But so just a little a little takeaway from Houdini for a second. They have an itinerary We're not scripted, but we're just just an itinerary to keep us rolling along And in castle spot it just says still in aruba still a punk in aruba. I'm not bitter. Okay.

Enjoy the warm weather castle No, all right So Houdini spent years exposing fraudulent mediums and challenging them theaters and even taking the fight to congress He pressed for laws to curb fortune-telling scams in Washington, DC Yet he had that pact with best keeping a sliver of possibility alive that the paranormal may actually be actual for him They wanted to do this and they did it best at it for 10 years after his death The seance tradition sits exactly where he Houdini lived professionally on the fault line between theatrical wonder and evidence You get tension without a shouting match Houdini himself embodies both sides skepticism and careful design tests So I think Houdini built a bridge between wonder and proof and dared us to cross them and I think in many ways that we In our dead talks and different things when we talk about the different kinds of people that's the skeptical believer is that the right one raven skeptical believer is the one that I'm drawn to blank. I only do this dead because I'm Open-minded believer. Yes. Okay.

The open-minded believer. That's the one that believes everything happens though, right? That's the one that Any bump in the night? No, that's an open-minded believer.

That's what he just said an open-minded believer I'm saying the open-minded skeptic is the type where you want to have people That are looking for evidence and proof about what happens and not just thinking. Oh, absolutely everything's paranormal You want to attack it with as much scientific data and evidence as you can and see what you can do to disprove things things like we do is Your emp meters going off and you find out that there's an electrical box right next to you and you go, oh, that's why or The phone's not been put on airplane mode. That's right next to the device you're using things like that You've got to look at things and say What are the things that could be causing this and you want to eliminate as many of those as you can before you get to the point you go We can't explain it. Therefore, it's paranormal.

It's beyond normal. We don't have a rational explanation for this So based on that would you say that Houdini approves of these modern halloween sciences or do you think he would get upset? Roll his eyes wonder what heck we were going. Oh, he was a showman.

I think he would be all in on it How about you Jake? I think a little of both He'd love it, but for the shows I know but in secret he'd be like rolling his eyes and mocking it a little bit I think I lay somewhere between the two of you and my thought process The showman part of him I think he would love it. I think he would like the notoriety of it People are still interested in me But I do think part of it he would roll his eyes out but at the same time I think he would approve even though he might think it was kind of silly because we were looking for real answers to something We promised a keyword and if there's not that keyword is not me. So I think it's interesting So along these same lines, do you think a shared ritual is valuable even if the answer is silence Yeah, they did it for 10 years with best and then they continued to do it to this day We're still not getting that code word, but is it still a valuable valuable ritual I would say yes because like I said earlier who knows you never know when he might decide to talk or If he ever wants to Well in anniversary traditions whether it's hudini or other things they build a spirit of community among believers looking christmas look at different holidays Thanksgiving Something that reinforces that among I'll call him levers in this case with hudini or with interested people I think they can be very powerful and help people with the things that they're interested in Yeah, and I was just going to simply say I think they're valuable because Tradition like Chad said there's community And just getting together in solidarity over something that's harmless It's funny.

Look at Salem. Are there still witch trials? Are we still burning people at the stake? No, but people still go there they still learn about it.

They still reenact Even reenactments of the civil war and anything that's a tradition that builds community. I think is is valuable All right, so we're gonna do a little halloween calculus. I hope that doesn't scare anybody Excuse me. We have one death day 10 years of listening a code.

No one's cracked and a graveside that still pulls a huge crowd every halloween every october 31st So whether you are team evidence or it didn't happen or team. Oh, I felt something I heard something Seems to me like the hudini seance. It's just that rare cemetery story. That's kind of equal parts of history What's that maybe that really kind of keeps this tradition going keeps it candles?

However, you want to to say that I think it's fun. I think it's interesting and who knows maybe one of these days Houdini will say you know what? Now's the time we'll throw out that word. All right on that note.

I just wanted to shout out to radio ronin. They are fantastic You've got Jimmy Changa. You've got Chandler. You've got Chris to you've got Panda I was trying to say his real name and his nickname at the same time in the my brain froze So much fun.

Go give their podcast a listen. They have fun stuff too. They're actually doing their own patreon Go sent what you can go to with your patreon. It's a lot like our Rorshindig except they don't do it the potluck.

So they need to step up their game Anyway, so we are going to Hear what Drake's got in his widow's web. So today I've got the sp7 Nice everyone kind of knows what the sp7 is. It's also referred to any spirit box This is a Everyone has a different type of one. There's apps of them now But we're gonna talk about the actual device itself which sleeps radio waves can sweep forward can sweep backwards sweep FM sweep am and And That's a lot of spirits.

We'll decide to talk to us because they can pick up on that energy from the radio waves that's being transmitted 24 7 365 And they can help that both get words out for us talk to us And apparently I knew the one on our team that can get one to work Don't let Raven hold on because they do not work for her and I honestly think it's because The gives me just crazy high anxiety. I literally think Charles protects me from it. I think Charles It's like no, no, no That's the nice thing about the app like the app ones. You can actually Tune that out of it now.

Oh nice But I prefer the actual device itself because then I know it's not Something being interacted with like say you have it on your phone. You get a text or an email or someone tries to call you But with the actual device, it's you know, it's a spirit trying to contact you even though. Yes, you still do get some interference because there's no Protection from interference or anything like that. It's just Everything that gets put out there.

So do you know, I've never used the one on an app. Does it work when you have the phone and airplane mode? Do you know? No, okay Because it has to have the app has to have a An internet signal because it picks up off of the internet radio signals.

Alrighty So see whoever made that app they need to know that they need to make it work off of airplane mode somehow So Raven, what do you got in the junk for today? So in the junk door mummies we have mummies. Is that mummies? Wow Go figure.

I know if you're new I have a morbid fascination with the mummies So true or boo? For a couple of centuries European artists literally painted with ground up mummies like actual mummies true or boo true Yes, the island but true. They actually had a color name for it. I know it was called mummy brown It's a warm transparent brown by grinding up pieces of Egyptian mummies with resins and oils.

So think of what Egyptian mummies look like and that's the color So it actually shows up in artists supply catalogs from the Renaissance into the 1800s. So you think pre-raffylites that love that smoky glaze But we get to the early 1900s and the supply Because of the ethics got awkward. So one London color man even showed that they buried their last mummy when they ran out So there's that there you go So they had party tricks from the crypt as it were and you've heard us talk about Victorians. They were creepy They didn't have internet.

They didn't have chat gbt to find out interesting things to do So Victorians being Victorians they had money on wrapping parties. It became a real macabre parlor spectacle They would buy a mummy. They would invite their friends over. They would peel back the linens There was amulets buried with it or inside about they passed those around.

So You think about it. It's kind of equal part archaeology Status flex. You know, look at me. I can buy money and kind of haunted house.

So after these parties You give a guest a souvenir, right? So the souvenir would be a little strip of linen So there's gonna be a lot of little shadow boxes jewelry boxes kicking around In a country house somewhere that's way too cursed because it's gonna have a little pieces of mummy wrapping in it I was about to say and then they wonder why people would die unexpectedly Right. All right. So let's go with the question in our drink drawer If a museum offered a replica unwrapping Was zero real remains would you go or is that still too bad by me?

I think that could be kind of fun It was just like your pretend one. Yeah, yeah to recreate a victorian era deal I could see you doing that kind of a party where you dress up in the ear clothing and you could do that almost like these murder mystery dinner Shows where they'll have audience participation. I think that could be kind of a fun thing to do I think I'm gonna have a mummy unwrapping party I've got lots of girlfriends that think that ghost hunting is way cool. So I think I'm gonna have me a mummy unwrapping party How about you take what you do it?

For me, that's a hell no because I'm not messing with any of that. But what if it was fake? Empty that I'm not afraid to go head first fighting type three's and calling them out and teasing them but when it comes to mummies and curses did not happen Fair fair point to now would Raven go to a real mummy unwrapping? Oh, yes, I would be there And I will not bring a souvenir to Drake Because he said, oh, he'll know and I can respect that.

All right, so What happened to King set? And then he can laugh over me when the curse hits me John George brought to you by Huey's Performing Arts and Cultural Events Center. We're going there when no November Yes, so go grab your ticket. We've already had several so don't wait on it because There's gonna be plenty plenty plenty of dead-talk only tickets But if you want to get it on the investigation not many of those left All right Normally castle will talk to us about some ebps and he's got a really cool one.

I don't know if he's gonna do it this next time or not But where is he? In Aruba? Being a lazy punk. So we'll just have to talk about it.

I have an update from our last episode We thought we had an evp. Oh, let's just say no. It was my election. Oh, bummer.

Okay, so yep Sometimes we have to debunk and it's not fun, but all right. No evp. All right, so let's chat about These investigations these were little mini investigations These were at the Springfield Library and the Brigham City Library Which because of the closing times and things with the powers that be we're not allowed to be there Past closing time, which is fine, but we streamlined our dead talk a little bit We had too much stuff in there. So we made it a little shorter.

I think I had about four or five slides It just didn't really add anything so we could come out So we were able to stay and investigate at the Springfield Library And we just circled up in the main room and one thing about the Springfield Library Is it is built where the old jail and the hospital used to be so there's definitely some energy there That's going to lend to a little bit more ghost hunting. So We all sat in a circle We just kind of set out a bunch of equipment in the middle and we told everybody we can only do this for about half Hour we're probably not going to get a whole lot knock my socks off. Oh my gosh We had several ikc machines but not words and so many relevant things that it said I made a little note here All right, I thought I wrote down a bunch of things and I can't hide it so The ikc machines would just we'd say something it would spit out something really relevant We would ask a question and it would call us an idiot. I mean different things like that and then The interesting thing is my rampod had sitting out and there was a gal and you can actually go to our Tiktok or instagram.

I've posted this there and You can actually see this little part of it I told them I said we as investigators we can ask questions all the time We do it all the time if there's something that you want to know go ahead and ask it And so this girl says Something like I feel really rude if I'm asking them their name, I don't tell them mine So she gives them her name and then she says if your male Light up the red light and she didn't mean on the rampod she meant my flashlight So I put out one has a red lens one has a green lens and so she was wanting it to turn the flashlights on But she said if your male turn on the red light if your female turn on the green light Nothing happens for a couple seconds and then the red light on the rampod turns on And the light that turns on is actually a heat sensor It senses if it gets warmer and then there's a blue light if it gets colder But that red light went on and stayed on and then the rim pod went crazy every single thing lit up And it just went crazy for the longest time But I just recorded that short a little bit that being said over the course of the 20-30 minutes that we were investigating We got the name Susan several times We got the word accident in our ITC machine several times And when I say several times I'm talking like five six seven times each And that is not very common sometimes you'll get the same phrase from the 1700s over and over again But these were very and it just kept saying Susan accident Susan accident And it would say a couple of other things and we'd get Susan accident Susan just over and over and over again And then the rampod would go off and the green light would go off That would go off several times and after about 10 minutes I said that really sounds like Morse code the way it's going off and someone said yeah One of our guests they said yeah, I used to know Morse code but I don't remember any of it now Well later one of our investigators a couple days later sent me a text and she said that she had recorded that Morse code Section and she had actually gone in and looked at it and the Morse code was spelling out su su as in Susan So that was really cool We went to the Brigham City library and first time we've been up there fantastic There's not a library we go to that's not fantastic, but we went to Brigham City for the first time That was a lot of fun. We had a ton of people come out. They had cookies. They had Door prizes that they gave away And they were so enthusiastic and so into we had so many good questions so much participation.

It was a lot of fun As far as activity we didn't get a whole lot there It was pretty quiet But we've noticed that I have noticed that the first time you go investigate somewhere that maybe hasn't been investigated ever or for a very long time So there it's time to be a little more quiet because they're like what But radar had his table out and see what's explaining equipment. We did get a few hits We got a few hits on the dead bell. We got a few hits on the rampod So they are going to have us back and they're going to have us back before Halloween because they want to do There's something in the middle of the year really quick. I want to go back to Springville library We got permission to go into the basement After closing time for just a few minutes.

We weren't there for very long. Maybe what? Chad 15 minutes? Yeah, it wasn't yeah, it wasn't going to down there That's where all the electrical was and but there were other weather for their steam Dean and that kind of stuff.

Yeah, but it was interesting because I took the emf meter around and it really wasn't putting out a whole lot of emf But we actually saw some shadow figures I kept thinking I heard an EVP. I haven't had a chance to listen to my recordings yet because I've been out of town, but Everything had the heavy fields down there and some of it could be all the equipment down there But it was definitely creepy and then last one really quick my daughter and I went to San Antonio for fall break and we went to this hotel We were just tooling around looking at things and there was a place down there called the sister's grim Which kind of freaked me out because they kept calling themselves the grim ghost tours I was like where am I thought I was in Texas, but they were the sisters grim and we just stumbled across it We didn't plan on going on a ghost tour, but we thought what the heck we're here It's here. We're not doing anything so we went on this ghost tour and it was really cool One of the first places they took us well where we started was in a place called the mainger hotel Crazy haunted crazy crazy haunted and the gal that was in charge our tour guide was and literally a tour guide You've been on our investigations. I accidentally call our team tour guide But she actually was a tour guide because it's a ghost tour So we started in this hotel in the lobby and she was telling us some of the ghost stories in there And the place we were was like a lobby and you could see the two floors above right And it was a rectangle shapes you could see everything and if someone wanted to go and walk all the way around you could have seen them for two floors Walking all the way around And so she's telling this story and it's beautiful.

There's a beautiful I don't know if it was stained glass on the ceiling or a painting but it was gorgeous It was built in the mid to late 1800s and so I'm just looking at it go wow this is pretty and I saw a woman wearing a skirt kind of go around corner And I thought wait a minute at first I was like oh woman But I thought wait a minute. Where did she come from where she disappeared? There's no door I would have had to have seen her walk All the way down the hall. She literally just appeared out of nowhere when around the corner And so I'm kind of processing this going wait a minute.

Wait a minute That wasn't a real person. Where did she come from? And as I'm processing this and realizing huh that was weird then she tells us a story about Sally Who was a maid at the hotel and passed away her husband killed her and she's still there But she's a nice ghost people have stated that they've woken up to her tucking them in She just keeps doing her thing But I had seen this woman and they said oh yeah she's on the second floor and I'm like that's where I saw it And so I told the tour guide afterwards. I said hey I'm a ghost hunter and I said before you told me the story about Sally This is what I saw and she's like it She says it could be her there's like a dozen ghosts here But I saw that and it was definitely strange And then one of the other places we went to There's three buildings really close together and she goes this one was the store That one the one in the middle was a brothel And she says if that's enough this third building was a store and a brothel Just you know get some double coverage going on there And she told us some stories and where they'd seen some ghosts and blah blah blah Some history and it was really interesting it was called the Navarro House or the Navarro Center And it was really cool looking building and so my daughter and I went across the street I wanted to get a good picture And it was late at night right it's like 10 11 30 nobody's out Except us and she was standing just a little bit behind me And it was like a historic center kind of like I think can't flake you know just a couple of buildings kind of together And behind us was like a little log cabin And my daughter was just getting over a cold You know when you're feel better and you're not contagious anymore But you have that kind of that lingering cough And like on the plane she did this little cough and I'd say bless you She's like you don't say bless you with a cough And so I would keep saying that to her just to annoy her Because that's what good parents do they annoy their children So she coughed and then she said excuse me And that just seems so out of character for her to say excuse me after a cough Because of these conversations we had of what's the proper thing to say when you cough versus when you sneeze And so I looked at her and I said did you just excuse me Because I was gonna give her crap for saying excuse me for coughing And she said I didn't say anything she said I just coughed I said are you sure and she said yeah I swear I heard you say excuse me She said I coughed and that was it So there was that so that was our little San Antonio Not really an investigation but had some cool things happen anyway So all right anything you guys want to add?
