Hour 1: President Donald Trump promised a $5,000 cash payout to every American adult—on if Republicans win the House and Senate

President Donald Trump sparked intense controversy during his speech at a Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas, by promising a $5,000 cash payout to every American adult—on the strict condition that Republicans win control of both the House and Senate in the upcoming November midterms. Dubbed the "Trump Dividend," he compared the proposed distribution to a successful corporation sharing its profits with stockholders. The announcement immediately drew widespread fierce backlash from legal experts, Democrats, and fiscal conservatives who have openly characterized the conditional financial offer as an unmitigated, blatant voter bribe.
