We've got some friends coming over from Georgia, the Philpott family, and they're going to be spending the night with us tomorrow night. Really looking forward to that. Now, they're the family that we mated Artie with their little girl. And we got Sophie. So they're coming to Greenville and we're going to give them Sophie back. 00:29 and tell them to take it. But we are looking forward to seeing them and uh always just wonderful people. this is going to be an interesting day because we've had some interesting things happen over the past 24 hours. Yesterday, we got word that a bill in Colombia that would have made Ivor Macdon over the counter 00:59 here in South Carolina. This bill, Davie Hyatt, now before we get into all of that, let's just give you a little bit of background. I want to thank Andrea Lamont Nazarenko for this because she did a really good job over on Facebook. She said this, earlier this session, State Representative Jay Kilmartin of the Freedom Caucus introduced legislation 01:25 Senator, Heath Sessions of the Republican caucus worked alongside him to move that bill forward. Now, this was one of those examples of the two caucuses working together. So the bill passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support. Then it passed the Senate with bipartisan support. So then it only needed one. 01:52 final house vote before heading to the governor. This thing was a done deal, ladies and gentlemen. It was a done deal. 02:02 But then what happened? The primaries happened. The primaries were over. 02:09 And they didn't need to pretend anymore over in the Rhino caucus that they were actually conservative. So, Davy Hyatt, yesterday, agreed with the Republicans, I'm sorry, with the Democrats, to send this back to committee. 02:28 So the House returned to session yesterday. The bill was expected to pass with flying colors, but instead of that, instead of allowing the final vote, Davy Hyatt took a stand against Jay Kilmartin. He colluded with the Democrats to prevent the bill from moving forward and killed the bill. 02:48 Now, why would he do that? Because he didn't like how Jay voted in the primaries and he didn't like who Jay supported in the primaries. And we also heard that earlier yesterday morning, the Republican, the Rhino Caucus got together and they said, listen, no more, no more Freedom Caucus bills. We will no longer support any Freedom Caucus bills, period. 03:18 So we had a bill that had already passed both chambers, a bill that had overwhelming bipartisan support, a bill with overwhelming public support, a bill that got two caucuses working together, wink, wink, and a bill that would actually give you some medical freedom here in South Carolina. But because J.K. Martin did, he killed the bill. Killed the bill. 03:48 I posted a little cartoon that I created over on ChatGPT this morning, showing you exactly what happens during primary season and after primary season. And it shows a South Carolina congressman going from congressman to full blown rhino in just a few simple steps. And that's what's happening. That is exactly what's happening. 04:14 They don't need your vote anymore. Oh, they got a couple of years before they need your vote anymore. At least some of them. Some of them going to be up in, you know, coming up in what, about a year and a half. We got to get those folks out of there. Those folks have to leave. So here's my question. So not only was it that Davy Hiatt was mad with J. Kilmart, 04:40 I have, but then again, so that explains why the rhinos voted to send it back to the... 04:49 committee.
