00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:23 Oh 00:27 For spacious skies, for amber waves of 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 share his grace on thee. 01:12 America is back. Yes, sir. And we are back. Thank you so much for joining us this afternoon. Let's go right to the phones and talk with the RNC National Press Secretary, uh Kirsten Pels. Kirsten, welcome to the program. Glad to have you. Thank you for having me. 01:39 So what's the atmosphere like right now after what happened at the White House national correspondence dinner. mean things got to be pretty tense in Washington right now right. Yeah, I think things were definitely tense after that terrifying moment on Saturday night and I think that it's deeply unfortunate that we have now have 3 assassination attempts against President Trump and there is undoubtedly. 02:06 a pattern of left-wing violence against Republicans in this country. know that um the suspect who is in custody now was a hardcore liberal. despised President Trump and members of the administration, and he was unfortunately parroting left-wing talking points in his manifesto. And so I think it's something that's deeply concerning to a lot of Americans that we can't even hold public events in safety. The president can't, you know, 02:34 speak with members of the press about his life being threatened without members of the administration being threatened. And so, yeah, I think things are tense and I think that President Trump was absolutely right to call this out. And I think he's someone that won't be intimidated in any way and won't be afraid that he's going to continue fighting. But this truly is a really dark and disturbing pattern. 02:56 in our country. is interesting is how the left has really revealed themselves over the past couple of days. They're calling it a fake, you know, false flag event. They're saying that he planned it to try to increase his ratings and his approval ratings and all of that. But again, I don't hear a whole lot of people condemning the act. 03:18 That's right. And by the way, the RNC chairman, Joe Greeter, has put out a statement, uh an oppressor released yesterday, talking about this, calling out all of the individual Democrats, Democrat officials, Democrat candidates for office who have remained silent on this. Many candidates are running for office across the country that have said nothing about this. And could you imagine for a second if the rules were reversed and Republicans remain silent about this? It would be called out for it. yet, because Democrats are, unfortunately, 03:47 aided by the mainstream media, they're allowed to get off the hook with this. And again, you know, this is a left-wing violence problem in our country, and Democrats should not be allowed to get away with saying nothing. I mean, you have Roy Cooper, John Ossoff, Sherrod Brown, Abdul El-Sayed, the radical out in Michigan. These are just a few members of the Democrat parties that have said nothing about this attack. 04:15 And not only that, mean, their podcasters, Hassan Piker, uh all of these people actively, openly calling for assassination. Are these people going to go to jail? Do you think? I mean, I would love to see that. Well, I'm glad you brought up Hassan Piker because he's someone that has threatened Rick Scott's life. He's someone who who said America deserves 9-11. He said that his opponents should be gutted. This is someone who has campaigned with. 04:42 um and spoken with Bernie Sanders, AOC, Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. um And this is someone who foments political violence and speaks political violence every single day. And yet uh Democrats are embracing him. Democrats are running for Congress alongside of him. Right, Ro Khanna. on his show. Yeah. Exactly, Ilhan Omar, others as well. he ...
