00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:27 spacious skies for amber waves. uh 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 share his grace on thee. 01:12 from sea to shining sea. America is back. Yes, sir. But boy, we got to get South Carolina straightened out. Guaranteed. It seems like whenever our state legislature has an opportunity to help the people of South Carolina, they don't. Right now, we're talking with former South Carolina representative Adam Morgan. Adam, this is unbelievable. 01:49 to see what's happening. And maybe I shouldn't be, but I just, think we're at a point now where, especially with the Senate, where you just have politicians run amok. They don't care what the constituents think. They don't care what party they're in. just, they, they locked together, they do what leadership says and it's, it's just ruining the country and it's, it's going to turn this state purple. mean, I don't know if people have seen what's happened, but in the same- 02:19 I mean, the same day that they advanced a bill to double their pay, which I mean, that alone is crazy, but the Senate says, you know, we actually need more money. So let's double our own pay. The same day they kill the conformity bill to the Trump's one big, beautiful bill, which includes the child tax credit for all the young families out there, just families that we're looking forward to that. The no tax on tips and no tax on overtime. 02:47 the no tax on the first $70,000 of Social Security. So, I mean, they're going after the elderly and the people on fixed incomes that are past retirement. They're going after young families. And then this is after they just passed their quote unquote tax cut bill that actually raised taxes on over 30 % of working class families. So you have people that are losing the child tax credit and their taxes are going up. And if you miss this, 03:16 The Freedom Caucus, two weeks in a row, have tried to get the bill to suspend the gas tax because of all this, you know, the gas prices rising. Yeah. They've blocked it both times. A Democrat blocked it first. And then Bruce Bannister right here in Greenville County, if you're listening, and Bruce is your representative, he blocked it just this week. Yeah. So no gas tax suspension. And then on top of all of that, and then just 03:41 And then it's almost you can't, it's literally, you can't track that, your mouth just drops open. Because we have a Republican supermajority. But then today, a bill that has already passed the Senate, the Senate already rubber stamped this, the House advanced in the way the Means Committee controlled by, oh, guess who? Bruce Bannister, right here in Greenville. 04:02 They just passed a DOT reform bill. They're saying, we need to fix our roads, right? Don't we all agree on that? Yeah, get need to fix our roads? And how do you think they're going to fix our roads? They need more of our money. Ah. Even though we've had a billion dollar surplus two different years in a row, they're telling us they can't find The Senate literally said, we cannot pass the one big, beautiful bill conformity. 04:31 We can't do that. We're going to say no to Trump's plan because they called it an election stunt. They don't want to give into an election stunt that may hurt future quote unquote revenue, you know, because revenue, the tax money, they need this. They have a massive surplus. You know how much money it was going to be? It's going to cost all of us $500 million. 04:53 is what we would have gotten by conforming to this. Yeah. And do you remember two weeks ago when we had the big budget fight in the house and the Freedom Caucus put all those amendments up to cut all that wasteful spending like lesbian podcasts and climate change research and all that? Do you know how much money the Freedom Caucus tried to ...
