00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:27 For spacious skies, for amber waves of 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 share his grace on thee and come 01:09 you 01:12 from sea to shining sea. America is back. Yes, sir. I now therefore be it resolved by the Anderson County Republican Party that Representative Don Chapman be officially censured. 01:36 by the ACRP until rescinded by the elected voting representatives from the organized precincts and the ARCP should his future actions demonstrate a distinctive and consistent change to support and vote to advance conservative Republican issues. So Don Chapman, censured by the Anderson County GOP. Joining us right now is Randy Jones. And Randy, I gave you bit of a promotion. 02:04 I didn't know you, you know, you got promoted to the chairmanship. Just kidding. Executive committeeman over there. So you brought this forward, right? That is correct. So what, what inspired you to say, you know what, I've had enough. This guy's got a 35 Freedom Index score. He's not voting conservative. What made you go ahead and bring the resolution to censure? Well, Charlie, this is a, you as you had a call around previously talking about 02:43 Right. uh The Senate, the House, the governorship, and yet we can't pass conservative legislation. And you think, why is that? And I've seen it personally in the working on a lot of second amendment issues over the years where we got the Republican representatives down there that will not stand up for conservative values. Right. And you know, you had somebody earlier talk about, you know, the need to start a different party. 03:11 I think conservatives just need to stand up and stand up and take back the Republican Party. I do too. I think that would be great. here's a little thing that I found interesting because if um you have to sign a loyalty pledge to be in the Republican caucus in Columbia. Mr. Taftman did that too. Yes, and one of their rules is you do not campaign against an incumbent, but he did. He gave a thousand dollars to Kyle White. 03:40 against April Cromer. Well, that's just part of the deal. are rules for us, but not for them. Unfortunately, that's something that the South Carolina GOP under the leadership of Drew McKissick, it's all about protecting the establishment rhinos. It's time for that to change. I wasn't sure whether that was something that our county party would stand behind. uh 04:09 It was an overwhelming vote to, uh, to, uh, do this, uh, resolution to censor him. So we're hoping that it's going to send a loud message to other Rhino Republicans out there to stop and think, even though you've been getting voted in in your district, you may not be representing the folks of the county. And I hope that we can, we can open the eyes of some of his voters that they will reconsider. 04:36 how they vote, you know, in this coming primary. know, primary is where we really determine what's going to happen for conservatives. Exactly right. The primary is primary. But if you go and you look at the South Carolina GOP platform, it's a good one. I it's not perfect, but it's good. I mean, how many 04:57 How many of those points in the Republican platform has this guy violated? I'm looking at this. He voted against an amendment that would criminalize doctors who perform transgender surgeries. And the list goes on and on. But Charlie, that's the game that they play in Columbia. And you'll never know that unless you specifically listen in to some of the committee hearings and some of the debate that happens on the... 05:24 And they play these little games where they start making amendments to bills. So then they can say, well, we only had to vote against that amendment. And they'll end up creating the situations where they can kill bills that don't ...
