Miguel Vargas from the White Sox, their third baseman, he went yard in the game, but the National League mustered just three hits in an All-Star game. Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not like AL-NL guy. I'm no All-Star game guy. I don't care if it's baseball, NFL, NBA. I don't watch All-Stars. Speaker 1: Well, the All-Star game has to matter, and it doesn't matter. Speaker 2: And the players don't care, so why would I watch it? I don't watch any All-Star games. Speaker 1: I mean, they could put a trillion-dollar prize on it for charity and the winning league gets to give away money. It doesn't matter. If there's not something that actually affects these players, they're not going to pay attention, or they're not going to show up, the best of the best. Major League Baseball trades are underway, Cole. Not a ton out there yet, but here is a name that you might know. The Houston Astros are finalizing a trade that would send the oft-injured 32-year-old right-hander, Lance McCullers Jr., their longest-tenured pitcher, to the Milwaukee Brewers. So, some news starting to trickle in. No news yet with the Atlanta Braves other than what we got yesterday, which is that Ha-Seong Kim and Ronald Acuña Jr. have both started rehab assignments. So, you know, Kim, okay, whatever. Acuña Jr., that's big, that the Braves should be getting him back soon. Speaker 2: Well, I was talking to our buddy John Michaels this morning from 680 The Fan, you know, with home team Brandon Leak and those guys in the locker room. They were broadcasting this morning, and I was talking to John. And I said, "John, are the Braves going to do anything?" And he said, "Man," he said, "I wish." But he said, "I'll tell you what." He said, "I think they might make a couple of moves, but out of he- he said, "I don't think it'll be enough to excite the fan base." So, we'll see. Speaker 1: Speaking of exciting the fan base, the Miami Hurricanes fan base are hoping that Darian Mensa can step up and be their third hit in a row with a transfer quarter- transfer portal quarterback. Darian Mensa said earlier today here, Cole, at ACC Media Days that Cam Ward and Carson Beck's success after transferring to Miami played a quote, "huge factor" in his decision to choose the Hurricanes. Speaker 2: Well, I mean, it had to have, right? And those bricks laid, I mean, it doesn't surprise me. Speaker 1: They also put a vertical bar through the S in Canes, turned it into a dollar sign, and that helps too. Speaker 2: Yeah, it does. Definitely helps. Speaker 1: The NCAA Rules Subcommittee, Cole, has approved the use of ABS challenge system for the 2027 season, and they say it can be used anywhere the technology is available. So, coming to a college baseball stadium near you. Not sure what it takes really to implement this, and maybe we should have asked our guest earlier, Cole, what it takes really to implement ABS.
