How do you know that Claude won't become manipulative? This is a constant worry. And you can actually catch the model thinking, I think X is actually true, but I'm going to tell the user why. I'm Walter Isaacson. On my new podcast, The Builders, I'm going inside the minds of the people shaping our future. Hey, I'm Jack Armstrong. He's Joe Getty. We've been trying to figure out how to describe what is Armstrong and Getty on demand for many years. I'm going to give it a shot. So most media is either agenda-driven or they're so shallow. And boring. You don't learn anything anyway. We try to get to the bottom of the stories that are shaping our worlds and help you understand what's actually happening. So give it a try sometime. Entertaining and you learn something? This short lady comes in and we barely see over the counter. Everything about us screamed, I'm not an international banker. That was a clip from our newest hit podcast, Royal Swindle, about two very unlikely scammers. These Australian women charmed their way into British high society, won over England's horse-loving elite, and even met the Queen, all while conning people out of their fortunes. From USD Audio, Blanchard House, and Exactly Right Media, this is Royal Swindle. Listen to Royal Swindle on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Goodbye.

I'm Stacey Vanek-Smith. I'm Max Shafkin. We are both journalists at Bloomberg Businessweek. And our podcast, Everybody's Business, finds the meaning behind the numbers. Boppity Boo. And how do you do? It's our number two. Ben Maller Show blockbuster trade in the NFL. How do you grade the Bears dealing for all-pro defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons from the Tennessee Titans? We'll go to the Maller scorecard. And what is your view on Robert Sala's Titans unloading their defensive star for a couple of first-round picks? We'll talk about that. Micah Parsons, older brother.

Terrence Parsons Jr. once again mocking the Dallas Cowboys for trading his brother, the all-pro pass rusher, to Green Bay. How does that stick to your ribs? We'll discuss that as well. Also, Benny versus the Penny handpicked the eight most important games in the NFL this weekend and handicapped all the games. Told you who should win, who should win the games. We will give you all of that information. No calls this hour. It's hour number two of the Ben Maller Show, and here it is.

And we do have Benny versus the Penny coming up in a little bit. We'll break down every game in the NFL.

Well, not every game will be picked, but we handpicked eight games on the Facebook page and Instagram page. You'll get all of the picks against the spread. So you have that to look forward to. But here on the radio, because of timing reasons, we'll pick the eight most important games, the eight most important games. It's a little thing we call Benny versus the Penny, and it'll be coming up here in a little bit. I'll leave this hour, though, from the swap meet, the flea market. And another day, another trade. I'm in. I'm in. I like this new NFL, new world order. For years, the NFL was bad about making trades, and we've seen a good number of trades this week. Now, remember.

We still have a little less than two weeks before the trade deadline, so typically things don't pick up until right before the deadline, but there's a lot of moving parts as we speak. If you've not heard, perhaps not, we learned. The Bears. The Bears went out and made a big splash move. They acquired all-pro defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons. Yep, that guy from the Tennessee Titans.

Now, it's being called a blockbuster trade. The reason is because Jeffrey Simmons has an all-pro, and the Chicago Bears gave up not one, but two, two first-round picks, 20-27, 20-28, plus a fourth-round pick to the Tennessee football team in exchange for Jeffrey Simmons and a fifth-round pick. There will be a quiz on that later. Simmons, we are told, is 29, and he had four sacks in seven games this season for a dog food, dog food team in Nashville and leads all defensive tackles with 28 pressures. That is according to the NFL nerd department, the Dorkville USA next-gen stats. 28 pressures leading the NFL. In fact, he's the only NFL player, we are told, with three sacks against double teams. So he's got that going for him. It's a good jumping-off point. Let us discuss. You know how we operate in these parts when there's a big trade.

We go right to the judges' scorecards. So how do you grade? Here's the question. Here's the question. Let's discuss. How do you grade the Bears' deal for all-pro defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons from the Titans? So I've got Monster Energy Drink, Hobby Lobby, and Louisiana Purchase. And we'll combine all of these things together. We're going to go full tilt boogie. We're going to do the boogie-woogie is what we're going to do. Now, number one. Number one. One, one, one, one, one, one, one, one. Number one. All right. Stop. Right to the Maller scorecard.

I'm going to start with Chicago. Chicago gets an A+++. Let me repeat that for those of you who are a little slow in the back of the room. Chicago gets an A++. We'll get to Tennessee in a minute. The Chicago Bears did not just upgrade their defensive line. They have installed a 300-pound human wrecking ball that occasionally wears shoulder pads.

Jeffrey Simmons. Now, if you were to say, what is this guy? He's a monster energy drink wearing a helmet, which is good because he is going to be deputized. The reason the Bears made this move, they're saying this guy is a monster energy drink and he is going to put the monster back in the monsters of the midway defensively. Chicago had gone from overnight, just one day, it was daytime trade, but essentially overnight, right? From a studio apartment with a broken toilet to an 11-bedroom chateau with a moat.

and a drawbridge and a butler named Jeeves. They got all that, right? And yet, I love the fact that this is a no-brainer, home-run trade. Even I, who criticizes everything, think the Bears absolutely hit it out of the park on this, and it was a great trade for the Bears. And my friends from Chicago, guys like Tree and Faze and Eugene and all the guys that are friends of the show, that support the show in the Windy City, should be very happy, right? Yet, the stat nerd brigade are hyperventilating. You gave up too much. You shipped away two first-round draft picks. What's wrong with you? Boo-hoo-hoo. Please.

You know, we have a word for people that obsess over first-round draft picks. It's called loser. Okay? Loser! Loser, loser, loser! F them picks! F them picks! Teams trying to win trophies. Make trades for all pro players. Because all pro players are good at football. I'm not talking Pro Bowl.

Because they don't even do the Pro Bowl anymore. The Pro Bowl's a joke. I'm talking about all pro status. That matters. And if you want to have the man, you've got to pay for the man. And draft picks are the currency, and they're a tool in your toolbox to improve the roster, whether that's five years from now or right now. And it's like, well, I'll pay on the credit card, and I've got to give up some draft picks. Well, who cares?

This is the window of opportunity. That is the message. I love it because the message from ownership and from the front office is this team is good enough to win a Super Bowl this year, and this is our way of giving you a vote of confidence and validating what is going on is legit. That's what this is. And so the draft pick, it's not a family heirloom. It's not. It's something you can trade, and the Rams trade almost all their picks, and they win, and they win, and they win, and they're in the playoffs just about every year. And occasionally they'll win a Super Bowl.

Chicago's not building a master plan for 2032. This is going to shock a lot of you, but they're trying to win a Super Bowl in the hood in Englewood and up to no good on Valentine's Day of next year. They want to win a Super Bowl before we're all in a nursing home collecting Social Security. They would like to actually win before that happens. All right, now to the other side of the aisle, page two, Music City. This is definitely not the Music City miracle.

So the question for the team from Tennessee, what is your view on Robert Salah's Titans unloading Jeffrey Simmons for a couple of first-round picks? So on the Mallard scorecard for Tennessee, I wrote down a C-, a C- for the Tennessee Titans. Here's why. You have traded a proven commodity, a Picasso. You have a Picasso. You have gone down and made a deal. You've sold your Picasso for a Hobby Lobby gift card. And maybe you'll be able to paint something nice someday.

But this is a classic suck and dump. You suck, you draft, you develop. Every once in a while you get a good player, you dump the player and repeat the process. It is a pyramid scheme is what it is. It's a Ponzi scheme with shoulder pads running on a hamster wheel of mediocrity. And how about Robert Sala? This guy was brought in. There were two things that he was supposed to do. Fix the defense and have Cam Ward playing at a high level. Those were the two things he was deputized to do.

How is that going? Can we do a wellness check on how that's going for Robert Sala? Again, two things. The defense, you've got to get that going, and you've got to figure out Cam Ward. All right, so let's start with Cam Ward. So Cam Ward was the number one overall pick. Number one.

And at this moment, Cam Ward is the 31st-ranked quarterback in the NFL. He is worse than Jameis Winston, who's the backup for the Giants, and Malik Willis, a former Tennessee Titan bust of a quarterback. And yet Cam Ward, with Robert Sala and his positivity and Brian Dayball and all that, is still, you look, you've got to go page down and you've got to go page down and all that. And I say, well, the defense, I'm sure the defense is doing really well, so you've got to give them credit on that, the Tennessee defense. Well, let's see here. Oh, they're 26th in the NFL.

Okay, that sucks. Yeah, so the Titans, of course, not only are they bad, now they have naturally gotten rid of their top defensive player, which is freaking brilliant, right? What's next? The Nashville Fire Department's going to say, hey, we don't need fire trucks anymore. Why don't we sell our fire trucks? I think that's what they did in L.A. when the mayor allowed the city to burn down. Well, they just got rid of water. They said, we don't need water anymore. Let's just let the Palisades burn. And that's great. Wonderful. Anyway, the Titans, the Titans are basically the AAA Nashville sounds of professional football. They're a feeder franchise, and it's the oldest.

trick in the book the con the big con of professional sports you sell the future so nobody examines the present and people always buy the future they always buy the future And the Tennessee Titans are the NFL's version of a government construction project. You know, the pork barrel spending, billions of dollars spent, years of promises. Kind of like the high-speed rail in California, right? Ah, we're going to give you a high-speed rail by 2020. Really? Okay. Find me where that is. Yes. How much money? Is it $20 billion? Okay, that seems like it's good spending there. That's essentially what this is, right? The NFL's version of government construction spending, where billions are spent, a lot of promises, and as soon as something finally works, like you actually draft somebody that knows how to play Jeffrey Simmons, you tear it down and start over. You tear it down and start over. That's the way to do it. All right, final point.

To the family room we go. Now, shortly after the Bears acquired Jeffrey Simmons in this blockbuster trade, which the media elites tell me is a blockbuster trade, Michael Parsons' brother decided to enter the chat. What? Yeah, so the reason I bring this up, I thought it was hilarious, because his brother, Micah Parsons, who's a former NFL player, he's a cheerleader and a podcast guy. He lives in Green Bay, though. So his brother posted a not-so-subtle shot on social media. He said the following—this is after Jeffrey Simmons was traded from the team in Nashville to the team in Chicago. He said, man, that Micah Parsons trade just looks better and better. No way the Cowboys don't get three first and two—or two first and a second for a 26-year-old pass rusher. And he's just talking out of his ass. That was from somebody named Terrence Parsons Jr., the brother of—

Micah Parsons. So here's the question on this one. You've got Micah Parsons' older brother who is once again mocking the Dallas Cowboys for trading his brother to Green Bay. So how does that stick to your ribs? Kind of like a brotherly shove.

It's like a push, like a shove right there. So Terrence Parsons Jr. is back running, not with the Bulls in Pamplona. He's not running a marathon. He's just running his mouth about the Cowboys, like the family purchase. The family pulled off the Louisiana purchase. They went out and made this move. Oh, my God, this is like the Louisiana purchase. It's psychoneurotic is what it is. We're guessing the Packers would love a mulligan. They would absolutely love a mulligan. They thought they were getting Lawrence Taylor 2.0.

It turns out that Micah Parsons is guilty of false advertising. They've gotten a part-time pass rusher, full-time podcaster, influencer, and occasionally the highest paid male cheerleader in the NFL, certainly in the state of Wisconsin. So the Mahler theory on this is it's bilateral. Bilateral, meaning that not only do the Green Bay Packers wish they could have that trade back, but deep down, the Parsons family, they miss Dallas more than Dallas misses them. And just from what we know of the public persona of Micah Parsons, Micah loves attention, like a Kardashian loves a camera and a camera crew and a microphone. And in Green Bay, Micah Parsons is competing for headlines with the latest foam cheese products that come out and ice fishing on Lake Winnebago and the Friday fish fry.

That's his competition. The Cowboys provided a 24-hour publicity machine. And now Micah Parsons' brother is desperately trolling Jerry Jones to try to stay relevant and all that stuff. They traded Jerry's World soap opera for a frozen dairy co-op is what the Parsons family did. And it's great. I love seeing Micah Parsons on the sidelines cheering. He really is. The Packers don't have cheerleaders unless you want to just consider Micah the one-man cheerleading band. And then that's it. It is the Ben Maller Show. We have Benny versus the Penny.

And moments away from Benny versus the Penny, we're going to pick eight of the most important games, must-see games this weekend in the NFL. We've hand-picked those games, and we will handicap them, tell you who should win, who should win these games. We'll get to all of that. We also have the Insta trivia coming up a little bit later this hour. We've got a lot to look forward to. But Benny versus the Penny makes its triumphant return momentarily. We'll get to that. No calls. Your comments on X, at Ben Maller. We'll get to all that, and we will do it next. Be sure to catch live editions of the Ben Maller Show weekdays at 2 a.m. Eastern, 11 p.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Welcome to Football Doesn't Lie. Hi, I'm Bill Parcells. And I'm Catherine Zatzora. I have a lot of experience in the game of football, Catherine. And I'm learning the game with Bill's help. Every week, we're going to talk about the NFL slate through the lens of Bill's expertise as he coaches me from novice fan to football expert over the course of the season. You know, I'm looking forward to this show, Catherine, and hopefully we can give our audience a little in-depth look into the inner sanctum of pro football that they can't get anywhere else. Tune in every Thursday for unfiltered stories from Coach Parcells, analysis on the state of the modern game, and education on how football really works. Continuity is very important, but what happens...

When you get good coaches on your staff and people begin to recognize them, then they want to hire them. And then you can't stop a guy from trying to improve himself, but you have to replace them. Because once you understand what's going on inside the mind of the coaches, you'll understand more about the whole game. So all aspects can be discussed. The only thing I haven't done, because I didn't have enough money, I don't own the team. I never owned a team. If there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence, it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. I'm Walter Isaacson, host of the new podcast, The Builders. Right now, we're living through an AI arms race. So I went directly to the people shaping that future. Elon Musk, Dario Amadei, Alex Carr, Feifei Lee, Palmer Luckey, because I wanted to understand what the most consequential builders believe, what they fear.

and where they think this is all headed. Silicon Valley is always saying the cliche thing about the way to predict the future is to create it. Well, yeah, it's up to us. But when you say us, who's us? Is it 400 people that you know in Silicon Valley? Is it me down here in New Orleans? They're brilliant, controversial, and they're already shaping the future. The question is, whose imagination do we want to live in? This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity. The show is a collection of silly, serious, and irreverent musings of the day. Hilariously balanced with more than just a pinch of sarcasm. Whether it's on the left or the right, if somebody does something or something. It's Dramos, and I want you to meet the disruptors who are setting today's trends and discover those who are building what's next. People like Sebastian Yatra. Life is on the other side of fear. Introducing Global Flow, a new podcast where I sit down with disruptors across music, entertainment, business, and tech to break down what they're building, get the blueprints of how they got there, all while trying to figure out what's coming next. They'll share their stories, including not just the wins that we all see, but the moment...

Being, you know, deemed a successful business by, like, you know, the New York Times, like, as, like, a Puerto Rican girl from New York who didn't finish college, who was like, I was like, holy c**t, like, I'm finally doing something. The Ben Maller Show on Fox Sports Radio as we continue on and on and on. And our old friend, the Penny, will be stopping by in a moment. Now, no calls this hour. I know we take a lot of calls. Well, more than every other show. But we will get back to the phone calls next hour. We will get your commentary on X at Ben Maller. That's at Ben Maller. If you'd like to be part of the show that way, we will take your comments. And also say hello to Lorena. She's the FSR Tech Queen. Hi. You can say hello to her right there at Queen of Hearts and Koopaloop at A Bronco Fan. That's A Bronco Fan.

Remember, your comments can and will be used against you in the Court of the Maller Bush, so please act accordingly. Time to roll. Welcome in, militia. Speaking of winners. Can you handle more Maller mayhem? Ladies and gentlemen. Ladies and gentlemen. It's time now for Step Back. Penny versus Penny. That it is, a week eight in the NFL, and we started out.

Each of us are 0-1. We both told you to take the Carolina Panthers on Benny vs. the Penny. That worked out well, so this is going to be another great weekend of picks and whatnot. If you're new to the show, Benny vs. the Penny has been around for many, many years. At one point, it was on cable television. Believe it or not, NBC actually picked this damn show up. And for two years, it aired on national cable television. And now we're back where it all started, right here in Overnight Talk Radio. My God, what a success story. Anyway, Koopa Loop is representing the Penny. And before we look ahead, we must look back. We'll tell you how this all works so you understand. Play along with us. And we're not telling you who's going to win. We're telling you who should win. There is a difference there.

numbers. What has happened will tell you who should win these games. Didn't work out last night as the Panthers laid an egg, but Koopaloop, how did we do in week seven of the NFL schedule? Not great. But interestingly enough, both you and the Penny had a record of 6-7-1. So another losing. We tied. That's our second tie, I believe, this year, right? I believe that is our second tie. Yes, that's correct. Overall, I have winning. Against the Penny, I have a winning record. Overall, not good. In fact, I might as well just flip a quarter. It should be a quarter versus a penny. Next year, Coop, if I continue where I'm going, I'm just going to have a quarter, and then you'll have the Penny, and then we'll move it up to like a dime. What else can we have? A half dollar, a dollar, all that.

All right, so the way this works, explain to the guy driving around Sheboygan right now, Coop, how does Benny versus the penny work? You flip the penny. What does it mean? Explain to the common man what they're about to experience here, Coopaloo. Well, you put in hours of research and, you know, look at all the trends, the stats, even the weather. I waste my life, Coop. Someday I'll be on my deathbed saying, why did I do that? I'm a loser. And you pick the game based on your extensive knowledge. That's right. And then I flip this penny, which is barely even legal tender anymore. That's right. It's inspired. If it lands on heads, we go with the home team. If it lands on tails, the away team.

All right, so that's it. That's how it works. We picked the eight most important games in the NFL. Let's get right to it. We start out in New York, the only team that plays in New York, the Buffalo Bills, and they're hosting the Baltimore Ravens on CBS. Ian Eagle and Ross Tucker have the call. These lines courtesy of DraftKings, by the way. The Buffalo Bills, a three-point favorite at home on DraftKings. Last we checked in this game against the Ravens, there is a slight chance of rain. Temperatures in the 60s, at least at kickoff, in...

New York for the Bills and the Ravens. And I'm going to take Buffalo in this game. To me, Josh Allen, the ultimate equalizer head-to-head here. And he doesn't have to be perfect. Just a couple of those explosive plays. I believe Lamar Jackson is going to play. I don't think it's 100%. He's supposed to be back. That's the word on the street is he's going to come back. Now, the biggest concern for me with Buffalo is the Bills have allowed at least 29 points in five of six games.

That's not good. That's not a championship-level defense. Lamar Jackson is questionable. And even if he plays, how good is he going to be? Has he got an ankle problem? We'll see about that. And Buffalo offensively should be able to move it. The Ravens have been a Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde team. They've blown leads. They've blown more leads. That's the DNA of the Ravens. That's Ravens football, blowing leads here. But again, I'm going to take Buffalo in this game. The Bills should be able to score. They lead the NFL in offense, averaging almost 33 points per game. Baltimore averaging about 24. I know the numbers are a little off because of the fact.

Lamar Jackson has been out. And the Ravens have been terrible against the spread. They're 2-5 this year against the spread. Buffalo a winning record in the spread game. So I'm taking the Bills and the Penny Picks. We start off with disagreement. The Penny's going to the Ravens. All right, I'll win that game. Next up, we go to Jerry's World.

The Arizona Cardinals, they suck. And Cardinals 2-5, Cowboys come in 3-5. And on DraftKings, the Cowboys are a 7-point favorite. And you've got Dodger broadcaster Joe Davis calling this game on Fox. You better watch Greg Olson, Mr. Popular, also there with the call. Game's indoors, so it doesn't matter that it might rain in Arlington because they have the roof thing, so you don't have to really worry about that. So after careful analysis, I'm going to take the Cardinals in this game. Dallas actually opened as high as a 10.5-point favorite in some of the books. And the line has gone down.

a movement down towards seven, which is where we have it on our numbers here. It's hard to take the Cowboys seriously. Their defense ranks 29th in the NFL. You've got to win by a touchdown with a 29th-ranked defense. I realize they just did it against the Eagles on Monday night and all that, but the Cowboys allow 373 yards of offense. They're also the 31st-ranked run defense here. And Arizona's got their own issues.

They're actually somehow worse in a lot of categories than the Cowboys. So both teams are bad defensively. And Jacoby Brissett's been able to get the Cardinals into the red zone pretty much at will. They just can't get touchdowns, which seems to be problematic. And as long as Arizona can avoid the early knockout, Dallas does have the firepower to just blow them off the field, win this game by 20 points. I don't see that happening. Expect this to be much closer than it should be. The bottom line of this, the Cowboys should win this game by two touchdowns. They won't. This will be a much closer game.

Even though Arizona's got this terrible defense, I don't think Dallas is going to be able to turn this into a blowout with Dak Prescott. And I can give you all kinds of other numbers on this and the stats and break it all down. Trey McBride's going to have to have a huge game. And Arizona might actually have to score a touchdown because they've been terrible in the red zone. But we don't have tons of time. So I will take the Cardinals plus the seven and the penny picks. What do we got here?

Penny agrees with you on this one. Going with the Cardinals. All right, next up, we have Miami, Miami, Miami. Well, the Miami area. And the Dolphins hosting the New England Patriots. And New England, a seven-point road favorite. This game on CBS with Andrew Catalan and Logan Ryan. They have the call there from beautiful South Florida. Paradise, the tropical life, and chance of rain. In fact, they say definitely rain showers during the game. Temperatures around.

80 degrees. Sounds nice. Sounds nice. I'm going to take the Dolphins. I'm going to cover my eyes and try not to puke in my mouth and take the Dolphins. It seems like A.J. Brown is hurt and not going to play. Not that he's played well when he has played for the most part here. And there are some turnover issues. New England is minus seven in the turnover differential, which is 31st in the NFL. Miami is actually better than that.

And in a game like this, Drake May getting fast and loose with the football, that's a good way not to cover a big number as a road favorite. There's a general rule we've had on Benny versus the Penny. An divisional game, when you get a touchdown or more, you either take the points or you don't bet the game. This is an divisional game. I know Miami's terrible, and they're god-awful and all that. And the Dolphins are 1-5. They're actually a little better than that against the spread. They've won a couple of games against the spread. New England is 4-3 straight up and 4-3 against the spread. This game actually opened as high as 8-1⁄2.

And it has dropped down on DraftKings to seven. So that's a one and a half point line movement in this game. The Dolphins are going to have to make this an ugly game. Slow the tempo, long drives with Malik Willis. He's got to also use his legs here. And I believe he will be able to do some of that. Dolphins should be able to have some success on the ground. I will take Miami. The Patriots will win, but I'm going to take the Dolphins to cover the spread and the penny picks.

Penny agrees with you again. Going with the Dolphins. All right. Next up, we move on on Benny versus the Penny. We go to the land of the Yinzers. We go to Pittsburgh, PA. And divisional matchup, the Browns rematch. Browns and Steelers. And this game on CBS. Friend of the show, Kevin Harlan. I saw him at this. Dad got his name on the Ring of Honor at Lambeau. That's pretty cool. His dad was a longtime Packers employee. Kevin Harlan, a longtime broadcaster, who has admitted I met him.

And he's a fan of the show. He admitted that. I thought he was lying, but then he named some of the idiots that called the show. So I thought, well, he's not lying. He's not lying. Trent Green, Kevin Harlan, CBS, this game in Pittsburgh. How's the weather looking? Well, as you know, I have the Roberto left. You know, Coop, Roberto left the Mexican Doppler 2000 when he left to become a bus driver. He left it with you? Yeah, yeah. He let me use it. So I have the Mexican Doppler 2000. Remember that weather with Roberto? That was...

That was one of the dumber things we've done. But it was great. I love Roberto. He's a character. Slight chance of rain. Temperatures in the 60s in Pittsburgh. Steelers and the Browns. I'm going to take the creepy quarterback. I'm going to take the Cleveland Browns. I'm a points whore.

My name is Ben Maller. I'm a points whore. I love my points. And the Browns are 5-2 against the spread. Pittsburgh's actually somehow 5-2 against the spread as well coming into this game. Pittsburgh actually at one point opened up, even on draft games, they were 5.5-point favorites. The line's gone down to 3.5. This is a rematch. The first meeting, Cleveland upset Pittsburgh by a field goal. You look at the side-by-side on this. To me, Cleveland is the right side as long as this is a slugfest of a game, low-scoring, physical football, which is typically, I don't think the Steelers can blow anybody out. The Steelers have also allowed 22 sacks. Cleveland's defensive front should be able to...

Make Aaron Rodgers uncomfortable. The Browns, they're not a good team. They're an average team. But average team, you're getting over a field goal. That hook, I love the hook on that, the three and a half. This should be a field goal game, which means you win either way. That's a very attractive underdog play. Do I have confidence that Sean Watson's going to go out and light the Steelers' defense up? Hell no. And I feel bad betting on him, but that's the right side here. The Browns already beat this team, and so they're very similar, which is pathetic for Pittsburgh. And what happened to the Steelers' running game? My God.

It's a one-dimensional outfit there for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so that'll help Cleveland out. Anyway, I'm taking the Browns plus the points and the Penny Picks. The penny picks Pittsburgh. Going with the Steelers. All right, next up, a game very important for the Koopa Loop. In fact, I'm surprised he's not going to this game. I thought maybe this would be one of the games he would go to. We go to Denver and an AFC West hullabaloo. Kansas City and the Broncos. Chance of rain showers, temperatures in the 60s in Denver. And this game on CBS with Jim Nance and J.J. Watt. They have the call. Chiefs, a one-and-a-half-point road favorite on DraftKings.

From Empower Field at Mile High. Kansas City 5-1. Suffered a loss for the first time on Sunday Night Football. Broncos are 5-2. And so if you put these records together, Denver should win. Okay, we got a little something. The first meeting, Kansas City absolutely demolished Denver. 31-10 back in week one. Outgained the Broncos by almost 400 yards to like 175. It was something like that. It was a very large total separation there. Kenneth Walker dominated in the opener. Had 173 yards and a touchdown. You would assume Denver will put everyone up front and say, all right, Mahomes is going to have to beat us now. Mahomes coming off a clunker last week in Seattle.

I like the Chiefs here to bounce back. I like betting on good teams coming off a loss. That would be, I believe, Kansas City. They're not a great team until proven great. They're a good team coming off a stinker. Andy Reid will have this team ready to go. The Broncos also are 31st in yards per play. Third down conversion percentage. They're also, I believe, 31st. They don't convert third down. Bo Nix has been a problem for the team so far this year. He's just a mediocre quarterback. That's what the numbers indicate. Denver does lead the NFL in sacks. So that screws up drives. You get sacks. Obviously, that's a problem there. But Mahomes is going to have to play better in this game. Kenneth Walker, I'm going to go out and limb say, is not going to have 170 yards rushing.

Until I see Bo Nix dominate, if you're Kansas City, make Bo Nix beat you. It's not that hard. Denver ranks near the bottom of the NFL in passing efficiency. You've got to force Bo Nix into obvious passing situations and make him make place. The Broncos convert 31% of third downs, 31st in the NFL. I've got a bunch of other numbers here. But anyway, this is enough time for all that crap. So I'm going to take Kansas City. I'll lay the one and a half. I'll take them as a slight road favorite. And Koopaloop wearing his Bronco onesie. Who does the penny pick?

Well, you and the Penny both lost last week picking against the Broncos, and you both are going to lose this week picking against the Broncos. More agreement on that. All right, so we agree. We'll pause for the cause here. We have three more games to get to, including the Island Games and the big game on Fox this weekend. If there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence, it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. I'm Walter Isaacson, host of the new podcast, The Builders. Right now, we're living through an AI arms race.

So I went directly to the people shaping that future. Elon Musk, Dario Hominay, Alex Carr, Feifei Lee, Palmer Luckey. Because I wanted to understand what the most consequential builders believe, what they fear, and where they think this is all headed.

Listen to The Builders on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jack Armstrong. He's Joe Getty. We're Armstrong and Getty. We've been trying to figure out how to describe what is Armstrong and Getty on demand for many years. I'm going to give it a shot. So most media is either agenda driven. They intentionally leave parts out or they lie to you. Or they're so shallow. And boring. You don't learn anything anyway. We try to get to the bottom of the stories that are shaping our worlds and help you understand what's actually happening. The Armstrong and Getty show, practically perfect in every way. Yeah, I really like your guys' show. I've been listening for over 10 years. I'll always be an avid listener and better informed for it. The show is a collection of silly, serious, and irreverent musings of the day. Hilariously balanced with more than just a pinch of sarcasm. Whether it's on the left or the right, if somebody does something or something.

says something stupid, they're going to call it out. And I love that. I love it. Keep up the great work. I'm rocking with A&G. So give it a try sometime. Entertaining and you learn something? they had to persevere through when everyone counted them out. People like the co-founder of Buddy's Coffee, Rachel, who quickly went from being a New York Times success story to facing eviction. Being, you know, deemed a successful business by, like, you know, a New York Times as, like, a Puerto Rican girl from New York who didn't finish college was like, I was like, holy crap, like, I'm finally doing something. Like, maybe this is all working out. And then that day when the landlord comes in, it's like, you know, all over that idea and he stepped on me. All right, here's the Who Am I game, or the instant trivia question real quick, and then right back to it. Dodger star Mookie Betts has been joined by Blank atop the list of active MLB players with the most World Series rings. That is the question. What is the answer? And do we have Steve Atwater, guest by Michael in Tulsa, Dr. Johnny Fever from Mediocre Kabuki. Robbie, the Mariner fan, got it right. Bad job by him. So did Craig. Bad job by you. Lorena, do you have an answer quickly? Baby Ruth.

Baby Ruth, that is incorrect. It's also not Bobby Thigpen guessed by Alf. It would be the redhead Dustin May of the Milwaukee Brewers. Dustin May. They each have four World Series. Here we go. Here we go. Back to it. Benny versus the Penny. And next up on Benny versus the Penny.

We now head where? Well, that would be none other than the one and only, the magical land of Motown, the Lions and the Vikings. That's the next game we're handicapping here on Benny vs. the Penny. It's on Fox. This is the big game. Lions, a three-point favorite. Kevin Burkhart and Tom Brady have the call. It's in a dome, so the weather does not matter here. Now, I've been very critical of the Minnesota Vikings and their offense, and I'll take some more shots at them later. So clearly, I'm taking the Lions, unless I'm not. I'm going to take the team from Minnesota. The Vikings are 6-0. They're 4-2 against the spread. The Lions are 1-4-1 against the spread.

That's not good. That is not good. The main reason I think Brian Flohr is going to mess with Jared Goff, and I know Jared Goff. When you put pressure on Jared Goff, I know he's got zero interceptions this season. Look for him to have at least one interception in this game, exotic pressures and all that. I'm not betting on the Vikings because of their offense. They suck. They're terrible offensively. They play defense, though, and as long as they don't turn the ball over and just have one play on offense, one big play, they should be able to win this game. So I'm going to take them to Penny Picks.

Penny agrees again. All right, next up, the Eagles and the Commanders. This game is the Sunday night game. Boy, that sucks. Collinsworth and Tirico have the call, the Sunday night game. Chance of rain, 55 degrees to kick off in Washington. And against my better judgment, I'm going to take the favorite here. I saw Philadelphia. They suck. They got too many injuries. There's no way I'm betting on Mr. McKee again and all that. So I'm going to take the team from Washington here in Jaden Daniels to beat up Tanner McKee by 10 points. The Penny Picks.

Penny likes underdogs going with the Eagles. All right, good Sunday, a good Monday night game. Seattle and Chicago. Slight chance of rain temperatures in the 50s at kickoff here. And DraftKings has Seattle as a three-point favorite in this game. I can give you all kinds of numbers. We don't have a lot of time. I'm going to take the Chicago Bears in this game. I like the Bears in this matchup here. Chicago made the big trade here. They're 5-2 against the spread. Seattle's a losing record against the spread. And I'd give you all kinds of other numbers, but we don't have time. So the Penny picks. Go up a little quickly, please. What do we got? The Penny's also going to go with the Bears. All right, we agree on that. There it is. Another riveting eight games. I'll have all the picks up.

On the interweb, watch for Sam Donald to turn the ball over early and often in that game and Monday Night Football. I'll be ripping him after the game. I don't know how that's going to go. How do you know that Claude won't become manipulative? This is a constant worry. And you can actually catch the model thinking, I think X is actually true, but I'm going to tell the user why.
