This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. How do you know that Claude won't become manipulative? This is a constant worry. And you can actually catch the model thinking, I think X is actually true, but I'm going to tell the user why.

I'm Walter Isaacson. I'm my new podcast, The Builders. I'm going inside the minds of the people shaping our future. Listen to The Builders starting October 13 on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, it's J.O. from Laugh With Me The Podcast.

Why would you choose Laugh With Me? Well, great question. Maybe you like comedy, maybe you like sports, or maybe you just want to hear from a podcast host who has survived bad bosses, angry customers, questionable career decisions, and a pepper spray attack? Yeah, that's right. Other podcasts I've hosted with Broadcasting Degrees, Laugh With Me Answer Survivor.

Listen to Laugh With Me, a podcast with Jeremy Odom on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, and the podcast. I'm going to show you how to do this. I'm going to show you how to do this. I'm going to show you how to do this. I'm going to show you how to do this.

I'm going to show you how to do this. I'm going to show you how to do this. Yeah, that's right. Other podcasts I've hosted with Broadcasting Degrees, Laugh With Me Answer Survivor. Is there an epidemic against literature? More specifically, Black Literature. I'm Jack Lee's piece Thomas, and on this season of the Black Lits Podcast, we're outside asking why. They don't want to hold a bunch of little elevators, not going to match the mark with the game, but they're out. And when you look at a lot of different cultures, we're like, we need to know where you came from.

And considering this is Black Reading Month, the only real question is, what are you reading next? Listen to Black Lits from the Black Effect podcast network on iHeart Radio app Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. You broke me. You do not deserve happiness. I'm Andrea Gunning.

On this season of Betrayal, Carl thought he was living a normal, drama-free life, until the message started. Someone's not going to make it out of this alive. Every piece of evidence pointed to the wrong guy. He was not going to stop unless we stopped him. Listen to Betrayal season six on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts.

At every home game this season, DiMario Davis, who's going to join us in just a second, is honoring a local community organization and providing a $5,600 grant nod to his number 56 jersey via his devoted Dreamers Foundation. DiMario Davis is with us right now. Tell us and the Davis Fund, by the way.

Tell us about the foundation. Thank you for joining us, man. It's an honor. Man, first, thank you guys for having me on. Secondly, thank you for honoring the project that we get a chance to do.

Through our foundation. My wife and I get a chance to come back home, come back to New Jersey, come back to the team that drafted us. So in our homecoming, we want to do something special with our foundation. So much of us and the way that we operate is, man, how do we do something bigger than the game? We don't want the game to be the greatest thing we do.

We want to be able to use this humongous platform that we've been given to whom much is given, much required to do incredible things. And so how can we do something to honor other people who are doing great work? And that's what we've done over the next eight games. We have the devoted change maker grant, and it's going to be given $5,600 and recognizing these amazing organizations who are doing these great things two weeks ago, three weeks ago, we were at home. We got a chance to honor the boys and girls club of Newark.

We play Cleveland. We'll be able to honor teams of color abroad. And this is a great nonprofit that gets to do tech kids on cultural, global exchange programs, teaching about learning different languages. So it's really great work that they do. So we just been trying to find an honor organization that are in New Jersey that are in New York that are doing great work.

How do we celebrate them? And not only will we celebrate them and honor them with the grant, we'll also take them through a leadership cohort to pour into them and how they're leading in their roles, make sure they have resources around them to sustain their work to grow their impact. And it's just about honoring those who are doing great work. And so we're blessed to be able to be able to listen. You know, I was thinking about this.

It is great work. And I love that you follow through. It's not just, hey, here's $5,600. We're going to keep an eye on you and make sure that everything is okay. But I was thinking about this.

I'm going to drive in as a lifelong Jets fan and Mikey is also with the Expo hat on. He is also a lifelong jet fan. This is your third stint. You can't quit the Jets and the Jets can't quit you tomorrow. You can't quit you tomorrow.

Davis. Yeah, man. Coming back this time was so purposeful. It was the only time actually that I had a say in the matter. The first time I was drafted here, the second time I was traded back.

This time I was in free agency and I had options and it was a choice to come back here. It was very purposeful in the decision. Honestly, I believe I was meant to be here. And there was no more important time to be to come back, especially with AG leadership. Someone that I had a chance to be around my entire career and I learned a lot from no better man than I think to lead us in this time.

And so it was very purposeful in coming back and being able to come into the locker room and be welcomed in by the guys and be a part of what's being built here. It's just been incredible. And so definitely into the throws of it now. And that's what it matters the most is man. Now we are getting the ring and we get to it and love our group and the love the way we battle.

Mario, you mentioned Aaron Glenn and the numbers aren't great. So can you tell us from the inside of the locker room, why is he the guy to lead us back to a place that we haven't been in almost two decades, the playoffs? Well, I think about, okay, it's been a lot of people who've led that have been at the helm for, for, as you said, multiple decades trying to get to that place. Well, we all know what the standard is. We all know that the Jets and the premium product, we have to get that winning standard there on the field on Sundays.

We got to get to it. That's a very hard thing to do. Very hard thing to do. Well, you're looking at a man who's been through that and knows what it looks like. This is what exactly what happened to a really good team that we went against a couple weeks ago in Detroit.

They had to go through that process. That first year they lost a bunch of games that next year, they started, I think, one in six or one in seven just and not that that's the story that we want to go. But once they figured out and got those wins going, then next season they won like 14 games or something like that. So that's the model that we want to make sure that we're following in. Man, when you're inside the building, I've been on teams that have gone to conference championship games.

I've been on teams that lost every game except one in my career. So I've seen the highs and the lows and it's really about the type of locker room and the belief that's in there. You have to have a couple things or three things specifically. You have to have many of your locker room that are resilient. When adversity hits, people who are going to go to fire, they're going to get into it.

They're not going to crack. Next week, look at the Jets. I don't know what it's been in the past. I was on my early years. It was a really good locker room.

It was a I speak very highly of those guys. Those guys I learned from Antonio Camardi, DeReal, Riva, Nick Mangold. It was some guys and the wrecks was leading it. But when you look at this locker room, this locker room isn't going to crack. It's not going to be a bunch of finger points.

It's not going to be a blandness, a blandness. I'm making excuses. Guys are going to be accountable. They're going to say, hey, we need to fix this. And that's what you want.

You need me in the Brazilian. Another thing that you need is a strong work ethic. The work that you're putting in during the week. Man, we are preparing the right way during the week. What we're working on is getting all that hump on Sundays.

How do we make sure we are preparation translates on Sundays? How do we make sure that we don't beat ourselves on Sunday? That's what we're working towards. That's that next step. We stop beating ourselves.

We're going to be in the locker room that's believing upstream. That's what everybody is. Everybody's on the same page. Anybody dug in the head in this three-game skid. Everybody's like, let's just keep going.

We're going to keep going straight ahead. And when you establish that, that's a culture. And when you talk about that, that doesn't just happen with one person thinking that way. With a few coaches thinking that way. It was just a headband.

It has to be established. And that was actually built before I arrived. I noticed that the culture was different. They won't have got here. So yeah, it was a trying year for the Jets last year.

But I noticed there was something different about the culture. And now we're in adversity. Hey, man, this team is built for. We're going to keep marching until we knock down that wall. And that's what we're doing.

We got a home game this week. A hot clean and brown team. You get one win and changes everything. And that's what we're trying to do, man. It's just, let's make sure we execute on Sunday.

Let's put the work in again this week. And then we get out there on Sunday. Let's find a way to execute. Love that. Tomorrow, if we talk to you at the end of the season and the season did turn around, what do you think would have changed?

I don't think anything would have changed about our process. We always believe. We never wait. We never doubt it. And that's when you know you have the right process.

When it's like, man, the storm will come because I've been on team that will hide. And I don't think they'll know it. And things that will know that came back. I was a part of it all, especially in New Orleans. That's why I was so excited to come here because I believe my journey had prepared me to be here and be one of the leaders in this moment.

Into how do you move us into making sure that I'm going to feel matches the rest of my brain. We are a lead brainer and we need to play like it. How do we get there? When you're talking about moving on to our culture, they're establishing that winning mentality when you haven't had it. That's a very hard thing to do.

But so much of it is there. And what you want to have is your process right that you can endure the storm because when adversity hits, everybody wants to try to attach history. Oh, here we go again. Oh, this is the negative. No, no, no, no.

We're going straight. We had a process that we believe in. Let's keep going. And you keep going. And you keep going.

And when that opportunity that moment strikes like you think about last game, it was a rough game. But we had our moments to strike. And we missed those moments. As a team that's growing, we're going to learn how to win those moments. When we get the ball inside of a 30, let's give them.

Or we got 35 in a crucial moment again, let's get off the field. We've pinned them deep. Let's keep them down here. When we have those moments to strike, we got to do it. And that's what we're working towards.

So I love our process. We're working those moments on Sundays. And we're right there. DiMario, I have to say this on behalf of Mikey A of all jet fans. I've never felt better being a jet fan.

I just wanted to say I love you, man. I love you. I do. I love you. That's it.

I love you. I love the attitude. You mentioned your journey. Your journey did take you to New Orleans with air. I think, you know, six, seven seasons.

And so I'm wondering, you know what last night meant to that city? You love New Orleans. I'm wondering how emotional that was for you watching that. I know you weren't there for the game with Gleason, but you still spent a good portion of your career in New Orleans. Was that emotional for you last night watching that game?

Absolutely. Absolutely. New Orleans will all be like a second home to me. This is my home. This is where it all started.

But that will always be like a second home. I talk about a city that took my family in and embraced us and showed us so much love. And be forever in debt to that. Always have a lot of love for that city. Man, that was such a huge moment.

Love the way the NFL covered and captured that moment of the 20th anniversary of the Dome coming. What that meant for the city to be able to come back. How much had to go into a city losing essentially everything and man, that place essentially being a sanctuary for most. It was a shelter for a lot of people in that time after Hurricane Katrina and then not being able to play the stadium, the team going away and then fighting to get that stadium reopened and what it meant for them to be there and the way they honestly please. He's a legend down there.

Man playing the Falcons. Special team played. Change the game. And what he's done in his condition with ALS and how he's been a champion of that. That's the type of people that's there.

That's the type of resiliency that's there in that city. Unfortunately, the team that come away with the win, I know they would love to get that. But it was so much the honor that I thought they did an incredible job. Shout out to the league and how they covered that. A little change up here.

Better food city. New Orleans or New York? That's a tough one, man. It really is. You're going to make an enemy today.

Because I've spent some time in New Orleans. That food is delicious, man. It is delicious, man. But up here too, you know, it has expressions, man. It depends on what you're going for.

If you want to go Italian, if you want some extra seasoning, it's so good. It's just depends on what you're looking for. You got options. Yeah. I have a rational confidence when it comes to things that I think I could do.

And I was watching the Bears and you guys with your goal line stands where they have first and goal from the one and you guys held them out for four straight plays. The average person, how many times could I score from the one yard line running behind an NFL line? Let me say this, okay, he looks like an average person, but like yourself, he was a track star. He went to North Carolina and he walked on to the Carolina football team. So he's a decent athlete.

That's all I'm telling you before you answer. Yeah. I like you. I like you down there, man. I think firstly, man, that was incredible because I was open and driving the game.

They had drove all the way down the field and they had made some explosive plays, which we don't like to give up. But in that moment, it really just kind of talked about something that what Coach had challenged us, our rins on effort and making sure that we get off the field when we get down there. It's just being a don't break mentality. And so that was good. I think we ended the day like two or seven in the race on, which was something that we wanted to work on.

We showed up just it really speaks to our progress. But man, you get in the game and get behind the office a line, man. It just depends on who on the other side, brother. That's all. What if he had Richard as fullback?

Do you think he could get in? I mean, what do you think? That's a good one. That's a good one, man. You got to go low.

No, no. Tomorrow, the problem would be is you would hit me one time and I think I would quit. We all would. Yes. But you can hit him and you can live with that.

Yeah. Go ahead. I'm like tomorrow. Real quick. Last one for me on the way out.

Hardest person in the NFL to tackle. Wow. Wow. Wow. That's a good one.

You know who's really tough. Not necessarily to tackle, but to get to is a beat on Robinson. Oh, man. No kidding. Yeah.

He was good. He was good. You mess around. Let that brother get two, three steps on you. It's night night.

He's a challenge and a Gibbs Gibbs. Both of those they have a lead speed and for running back. If they can break a tackle or catch the ball in their space, that'll lead speed. Man, it ends up for you. No.

So that makes a very challenging. We appreciate it, man. It's a listen, I'm honored that you're representing the Jets. Thank you because you are. Yeah.

Thank you, brothers. May y'all be blessed. Yes. One more time though on the way out. If you wouldn't mind promoting Dreamers Foundation and the Davis Fund.

Real quick. Absolutely. Man. Everybody say it's home for the devoted change maker grant. We'll be honoring different organizations in the tri-state area, the jersey in New York that are doing great work working with young people.

We got a chance to honor the boys and girls club of Newark. We get a chance to honor the teams of colored abroad. If you know of any organizations, make sure you let us know. We want to make sure we recognize the representatives who are doing the great work, man. It's just those who do work and continue to carry those who do work as well.

All right. We appreciate it. I'd like to do this more often before you retire and take all our jobs. But thank you to Mario Davis. We appreciate it.

Thank y'all. Be sure to catch live editions of Still Gods and Company live. We taste at 3 p.m. Eastern, 12 p.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Since retirement from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind. Now, I've got my own show. To retire to lazy takes if you want honest conversations, join us each week.

Film Never Lies available on all TSN platforms in the iHeartRadio app. If there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence. It's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. I'm Walter Isaacson, host of the new podcast, The Builders. Right now, living through an AI arms race.

So I went directly to the people shaping that future. Here on Musk, Dario Amadeh, Alex Scott, Faith A. Lee, Omar Locky. Because I wanted to understand what the most consequential builders believe, what they feel, and where they think this is all headed. Silicon Valley is always saying the cliché thing about the way to predict that future is to create it.

Well, yeah, it's up to us. But when you say us, who's us? Is it 400 people that you know in Silicon Valley? Is it me down here in New Orleans? They're brilliant, controversial, and they're already shaping the future.

The question is, who's imagination do we want to live in? This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity. Listen to the Builders on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jack Armstrong. He's Joe Getty.

We're Armstrong and Getty. We've been trying to figure out how to describe what is Armstrong and Getty on demand for many years. I'm going to give it a shot. So most media is either a gender driven or they intentionally lead parts out or they lie to you. They're so shallow.

And boring. You don't learn anything anyway. We try to get to the bottom of the stories that are shaping our worlds and help you understand what's actually happening. The Armstrong and Getty show, practically perfect in every way. Yeah, I really like it. So I've been listening for over ten years.

I'll always be an avid listener in Veteran 4th. The show is a collection of silly, serious, and irreverent musings of the day. Deleriously balanced with more than just a pinch of sarcasm. Whether it's on the left or the right, if somebody does something or says something stupid, they're going to call it out. And I love that.

I love it. I love the great work. I'm rocking with AMD. So give it a try sometimes. Entertaining you learn something.

Where do I do it? Listen to Armstrong and Getty on demand on the iHeartRadio app, or podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Jay Valentine. I've spent my career on the executive side of this industry, multi platinum songs, building artists and building business. And alongside my brother tank, the superstar R&B singer, songwriter and producer, we've created something special, the R&B Money Podcast.

This is not just a podcast. It's a safe space where artists, executives and fans of R&B music come to reminisce. Pull back the curtain and tell the stories that shaped this culture, the real history behind the hits. That was hood famous. Yeah.

And then real love came out and it blew up. We live in a project. And they're seeing all the success. They're hearing them use it. And we had nothing.

We're covering an entire spectrum from Smokey Robinson, Alicia Keys, B2K, Mary J. Blige, Legends, Current Stars, and every one of the world's most amazing. You come out the gate with it. And it knocked Michael Jackson out of number one. Come on, man. I was like, hold on. I'm like, I'm like, I'm damn out of the number one spot.

If you're a super dedicated R&B fan who wants the real discovery, the real stories, this is your podcast. This is the R&B Money Podcast. Listen to R&B Money from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. It's drama, and I want you to meet the disruptors who are setting today's trends and discover those who are building what's next. People like Sebastian Yapra.

Life is on the other side of fear. Introducing Global Flow, a new podcast where I sit down with disruptors across music, entertainment, business, and tech to break down what they're building, get the blueprint to how they got there, all while trying to figure out what's coming next. They'll share their stories, including not just the wins that we all see, but the moments they had to persevere through when everyone counted them out. People like the co-founder of Buddy's Coffee, Rachel, who quickly went from being a New York Times success story to facing eviction. Being a successful business by New York Times, as a Puerto Rican girl from New York, who didn't finish college, I was like, I'm finally doing something.

Maybe this is all working out. And then that day when a landlord comes in, it's like, you know, I did all over that idea and he stepped on you. Listen to Global Flow as a part of the Michael Kuda Podcast Network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Joining us now is Baltimore Ravens Safety. Jalen Hawkins, Jalen is part of a Ravens defense that comes into the season with high expectations.

They always do. They're coming off a 24 to 18 win this past weekend against Tennessee. Jalen, great to have you with us. What are you eating, man? Oh, man, you're going to have to start out.

Segis, one of my favorite. Segis are like my favorite. Segis are segis. I don't know how you say it, but one of my favorite brands, one of my favorite snacks. So what's your favorite flavor for yogurt?

I go vanilla. I go vanilla too. But then it's like I bet probably, though, you know, I'm saying I like strawberry. Look at them. Now when you really want to eat, I know that's, listen, you're in season, you got to stay in shape.

But what is the perfect meal for you, Jalen? Some tacos, some street tacos from Kelly. Really? Yeah, some street tacos. Cilantro, onion, green sauce, beans and rice.

Yeah, I'm Mexican food. Mexican food is like, man. So do you go like three tacos, two carne, one chicken? How do you do it? Like how do we go about this?

When you order four? I go four. I go four. Craines, two quail. Yes.

I'm saying I thought I don't know him. Yeah. Yeah, some chicken guac. How was Jalen? How was Lamar feeling?

I know you haven't been asked that too often, but I'm wondering just how is your corner back there? He's good. Yeah. I'm pretty sure he's good. Last time I seen him was the other day.

I think he's good. You expecting to play with him this weekend or what do you think? It's about my figure to answer that. I'm putting you in a bad spot. I don't really know what's going on, but yeah.

There's only that question to be the question. That was very well done. He goes right back to the yogurt and granola. Jaylen, I was a fan of you last year on the Patriots because my roommate at North Carolina was Matt Collins and I kind of just root for whatever team he's on. You signed with the Ravens this offseason.

What led to your decision, signing with the Ravens and trusting your future with Coach Minner. You know, just going through it, going through that process, man. Way not options, obviously. Seeing how much this team and this franchise historically has been great and seeing what they're working towards. I was just like, man, I want to be a part of that and help that out, which is obviously the pinnacle of Super Bowl to win.

So, yeah, man, that's what it was. Paired about it. Now we here in the season of a long season, just getting started. So, playing on weekend week out, doing what we got to do to win. Is there a hit that you've made in your career that you're proudest off that stands out for you that you think about it all the time?

I'm like, man, I got that, got good. I got a couple of years, but it was when I was younger, but they're illegal, though. I got thrown out the game. You know what I'm saying? I got thrown out the game.

That's what I was in college, though. I had a pretty good hit. This is a bad one. I got a pretty good hit. I got a pretty good hit.

I'm not a week ago. I just, you know, try to make something to strike some, try to make sure, you know, I'll get penalized. I don't get thrown out the game. I don't get thrown out the game. I was fine now.

Yeah. Obviously, yeah. Jay, one of my favorite things to ask the events of players when they join us is who's the toughest guy to tackle. And a lot of answers we get are Derek Henry and Lamar Jackson, who just both happen to be on your team. What's it like going up against them every day in practice and thankful that you're not going up against them on Sundays?

Oh, man, those dudes are crazy. Those dudes are, you know, generational talents. Lamar, obviously, you see how he moves, how to teach he is. Like, that's one of a kind right there. And then he could throw he, he's a playmaker and especially like being a defensive player, playing against that caliber player is kind of tough.

It's hard to plan, plan out for that. And then when you play Derek, it's like, then you have to come up with a whole tackle and plan and you got to make sure you don't get stiff on or ran over. You know, so you got to figure out, you know, what's body part you can grab because he's coming down here and he's like a freight train. So I would just say, man, those two guys right there, man. And then not only that, man, just the people like the type of person they are, like really good people, men, genuine, cool, kind, walk around a facility, talk to everybody, work hard, you know, day in the day out.

So I got a number of respect for them. So who's the hardest guy to tackle? Who's the hard guy to tackle back to the questions? You're not going to talk about teammates. There you go.

Yes. Somebody who's shifting and like, I mean, I'll say D and Derek, I'm going to the hard guy's to tackle. I'm playing against him. That was pretty tough. Maybe games or something like that.

Go ahead, Dale. You mentioned that Cowboys game is probably the game of the year so far that game in Rio. I'm trying to one shop a take and I would love your support as a defensive player. The only thing Prevent Defense does is prevent your team from winning. Mm.

I mean, it depends how you coach it though. Right. I feel like it is. I mean, I don't know how to coach it, but it just depends how you coach that Prevent D, how deep you are, the depth that you have, you know, because obviously you're trying to protect and also depends on your trying to protect. You know, I think in that situation, they're trying to protect the touchdown more than a field ball.

So they may be a little too far back. So I don't know. I feel like it just depends how you coach it. Well, you nervous before you played in the Super Bowl last year? A little bit.

Yeah. I mean, I was a little bit. I was more excited. Right. I was telling the no like I was I was never as I thought I was going to be right.

And then obviously when I got to the game, I was I was vibing and then like, I think we're really kind of get to is like, you know, the longer the longer intro, the longer, um, legislative elite, national anthem stuff like that, kind of just sitting there like, okay, when we when we go and get going, we come here, you know, I think that's what kind of gets you to, but yeah, and I was really excited how some jitters. Right. Do you prefer a one o'clock game, a four o'clock game? Six thirty seems way too late. Like you have to wait around long day, man.

That's too much, right? Four. I like four. You like four? Why do you like four over one for allows you to go ahead?

You can sleep in before you sleep in. You got to push back a little bit. You got so much of time, you know, look at things to do. And then, you know, it's kind of a good mid spot, you know, when you don't with the game, it's not too late. So I like for it.

I should Patriot fans be behind Drake that you played with Drake, man. So you took it in the Super Bowl. You guys all went through Super Bowl together and Patriot fans have been getting on them, although we played better last week and beating Buffalo and Josh Allen on the road. Patriot fan should stay loyal to that kid, right? He's going to be great.

You agree? Yeah, most of us, most of us, man, and then beloved I do respect, you know, just as him as a player person and everything man, that kid has obviously a bright future. And you know, just because you know, everybody has sick ups, you know, so this is part of being a professional athlete, part of being an athlete can't be perfect. So and I know him, you know, he has the strong, you know, will to bounce back. And I know he's confident and obviously he's had the talented.

So yeah, they're for sources. They've honestly no reason to switch in a, like, watch, which I want somebody based off a couple of games, you know, that's kind of weird. But you know, that's how fans and things are nowadays, media and. Awesome. Yes.

I know from Ando Mendoza went on to have the most success at Indiana and win a national title there. But do you have any problem that it seems like Indiana gets all the credit for Mendoza when it's like a lot of his work came from being a Cal Golden Bear. It did come from being a Cal Golden Bear. And you went out and added those a little different. You know what I'm saying?

So obviously I feel like Indiana, you know, that team was very good. And so like, you know, going over there, that really changed his trajectory on things. I feel like, I mean, Cal obviously helped, you know, grow him and build him, but obviously, you know, you went to different school and did what he did. So if I was Indiana, I would take the credit, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying?

And also Cal takes credit too. But like you wouldn't deny, you know what I'm saying? I'm like, they wanted to feed us. So it's like, you know, you came over here and turned up. So it's like, I like, yeah, I would say, yeah, we take the credit, you know what I'm saying?

And I do see like certain posts where Cal football, you know, shots in my leg, when he got drafted, they're like, sounds of a Renee Mendoza, you know, Cal grad, and then also Indiana, you know, it's just a little more powerful when you win a national championship. You got a little something for the Falcons this week because they waved you, right? You got something for him. You've been thinking about this when you circled it. Yeah.

This is my second time saying this is leaving. I decided to leave that program. Another respect and, you know, another respect for them, you know, because I attended today, you know, they helped change my life. You know, I got to call. They gave me the card, they drafted me, stuff like that.

But yeah, I remember last year was my first time playing them and, you know, I had that game so good this year, you know, able to go back to Mercedes for first time in my career. So, so I'm going to do one thing. I want to talk food with you, just food. Oh man, we can talk that about that. Where you from?

I'm from New York, man. New York pizza. Oh, yeah, you know for all your, you know, how many of you know, you know, but I don't know that last thing I don't know if New York knows Mexican, no food like that. I mean, we do, we pride ourselves. We pride ourselves on Italian on steak and on dirty water dogs.

I just asked Mario Davis, the better food city, New Orleans or New York. And he was torn. I think it was a slight nod to New Orleans. The food is so good. Yeah.

Yeah. But I'll talk. Listen, if you want to carve out an hour or two of your busy schedule, I got nothing to do. I'll just be sitting here waiting for you. Come on.

Come on. I'm going to hang up and I'm going to get your number just a second. We appreciate you doing this. Good luck against Atlanta, man. Thank you again for the time.

If there's a million times more digital intelligence than the race biological intelligence, it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. Unwalter Isaacson hosted the new podcast the builders right now living through an AI arms race. So I went directly to the people shaping that future. In one must.

Dario, how many Alex car, they leave. I'm a lucky because I wanted to understand what the most consequential builders believe what they feel and where they think this is all headed. Silicon Valley is always saying the cliche thing about the way to predict the future is to create it. Well, yeah, it's up to us. But when you say us who's us is it 400 people that you know in Silicon Valley?

Is it me down here in New Orleans? You're brilliant, controversial and they're already shaping the future. The question is who's imagination do we want to live in? This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity. Listen to the builders on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcast or every get your podcasts.

Hey, I'm Jack Armstrong. He's Joe Getty. We're Armstrong and Getty. We've been trying to figure out how to describe what is Armstrong and Getty on demand for many years. We're going to give it a shot.

So most media is either a gender trim. Do they intentionally lead parts out or they lie to you're so shallow and boring. You don't learn anything anyway. We try to get to the bottom of the stories that are shaping our world and help you understand what's actually happening. The Armstrong and Getty show practically perfect in every way.

I really like it. I've been listening for over 10 years. I'll always be an avid listener and veteran for it. The show is a collection of silly, serious, and irreverent musings of the day. It's hilariously balanced with more than just a pinch of sarcasm.

Whether it's on the left or the right, if somebody does something or says something stupid, they're going to call it out and I love that. I love it. I'm rocking with AMG. So give it a try sometime entertaining you learn something. Where do I do?

Listen Armstrong, you get the on demand on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Jay Valentine. I've spent my career on the executive side of this industry, multi platinum songs, building artists and building business. And alongside my brother Tank, the superstar R&B singer, songwriter and producer, we've created something special, the R&B Money Podcast. This is not just a podcast.

It's a safe space where artists, executives, and fans of R&B music come to reminisce, pull back the curtain and tell the stories that shake this culture, the real history behind the hits. That was hood famous. And then real love came out and blew up. We live in a project. And they never seen all the success.

They hear them using and we had nothing. We're covering the entire spectrum from Smokey Robinson, Alicia Keys, B2K, Mary J. Blige, Legends, current stars, and everyone who's contributed to the sound of R&B. You come out the gate. And it knocked Michael Jackson out of number one.

Come on, man. I was like, hold on. I'm not going to MJ out of the number one spot. If you're a super dedicated R&B fan who wants the real discovery, the real stories, this is your podcast. This is the R&B Money Podcast.

And I found six of them, people who devoted their lives to public service, who believed their work mattered. Until they were told, they no longer belonged. I'm Michael Lewis and my new audiobook, Blockers, Rebels in the Deep State, tells the story of these careers.

People who kept our most sensitive data secure, helped prevent wildfires, made huge scientific discoveries, but got in the way of the Trump administration's agenda. What fascinated me wasn't politics. It was what happens when a society decides it no longer values the people during the work. It depends on. Get Blockers Now, only at Blockers.fm.

Thanks, DiMario. Thanks, DiMario. Christ, for joining us earlier. DiMario Davis and Jalen Hawkins as well. I've been thinking about something since Mario was on with us, that I'll get to it just a second.

I was amazed at laughing at you this morning because something was going on with AT&T and cable and they gave you these two-hour windows and you're never in the first window. You're never in the first window. I think it's just all one big window. I do. I don't think there are windows.

I don't think there's an early side of a two-hour window. They just get to you when they get to you. That's it. So not only am I dealing with the Yankees losing to Tampa Bay Rays yesterday, if you told me, tell me what's the worst way you could have experienced this game? Probably streaming it on your Apple TV with a hot spot internet from your phone.

And every five seconds it's lagging. I'm like, oh man, I wonder what happens here? I was surprised. I was shocked when it finally buffers and catches back up. Then the Internet is finally getting installed today with AT&T and they say, hey, the window is eight to 10.

And also with these companies now, they call you fifty times after you schedule the appointment to confirm the appointment. I'm getting these calls every 20 minutes from them. I'm like, hey, tell the next guy who calls me. I already confirmed the appointment. You don't need to send me more text saying press one to confirm the appointment.

And then I press one to confirm the appointment 30 minutes later, I got a call. Hey, by the way, we're just letting you know eight to 10. I go, yes, somebody just told me that 20 minutes ago. Yes, we should preface all of this by saying we love AT&T. Yes.

I have no idea. any of the wireless companies, any of the internet cut, we love y'all. Okay. I have no idea which ones are advertising with us. I have no idea if they're on radio or on the podcast, but AT&T, we love you.

All right. Go ahead. Tell it. And then when they say it's an eight to 10 a.m. window.

Yeah. Oh boy. When they tell you it's an eight to 10 a.m. window. Mm hmm.

I've got a news flash for you. They're showing up at 9.55 a.m. All right. So I'll put it on the poll if the cable company gives you a window of eight to 10 a.m. Are they showing up at 9.55 in the morning?

Yeah, they show up at 9.55 in the morning. And again, I love AT&T. Yes. They could not have sent an older person to try to figure out this Wi-Fi situation where I open the door and I go, oh, no, I think I'm I think I'm installing the Wi-Fi now when I see him because I know when my parents ask me for help with technology, yes, it turns into a whole process. You log us into the Amazon prime.

Take a picture of the TV, send me the activation code. Right. What's the what's the Wi-Fi password when I come home? What do you mean? What's the Wi-Fi password? We don't know what the Wi-Fi who has the

Wi-Fi password? So are you maintaining the guy who was so old that when he walked in, you were thinking to yourself, Hey, buddy, I got it. I thought he was going to hand me the modem and I was going to have to look up on YouTube how to set up the Wi-Fi. I'm telling you, what's this? So he shows up at 9.55 and already I'm like, man, I really need to get out of this apartment.

Right. But you knew it was going to be 9.55 before like when they gave you that window of 9 or whatever it was, eight to 10. You knew it was going to be 9.55, right? You knew it. Yeah. So in my mind, when they give you the eight to 10 window, I'm like,

okay, this guy's going to be out of the apartment by 10. You know what I did once? I dared a guy to get there at eight o'clock. I did. So if they gave me the option, hey, pay an extra $200 to actually show up at 8 a.m.

I probably would have paid it because that's how much I wanted to get this internet situation figured out. I get it. The guy shows up at 9.55 and I'm asking like, hey, I'm supposed to leave soon. Like how quickly is this going to be wrapped up? He goes, this is going to take a while.

And I go, oh my God. And this apartment I moved into. Yeah, this apartment I moved into. We have a great like ocean view of downtown Fort Lauderdale. Nice. And the guy is like setting

up the Wi-Fi and all of a sudden I hear him. He's not setting up the Wi-Fi. He's just looking out the window. He goes, man, great view from the 26th floor. I'm like, small talk. I'm

doing the thing where I'm pretending to look at my watch. I'm like, my man, please, please, what's what's, what's some sense of urgency? He's like the New York Yankee bats up there with no sense of urgency. I'm looking at, I believe his name was Salvador. So I was like, Salvador, we need some urgency here. But yes, we should preface this by saying we love

something. I love something. Yes, and the table companies who may or may not be advertising on this radio show or podcast or on this network for that matter. Salvador, we love you. But he'd be funny. He just saw this on your walk in. He's kicked up his feet. He's having a

little oral bomber. He wants to talk shop with you. I mean, by the way, you don't tell any of these guys right who come to your house. Hey, I work at sports radio for a living, right? That's rule number one. You don't say it because then all of a sudden you're talking about

whether or not the dolphins are going to go winless and it will last for 45 minutes. Yeah, and my apartment, like in the room where he had to set it up was like where my office is. So I have like a bunch of a bunch of like knickknacks in there and everything, whatever. One of the things I have is a North Carolina football helmet. He goes, Oh, North Carolina, University, North Carolina. And so exactly to that point, I'm like, Oh my God, now here

we go. He's like, I actually just came back from Wilmington. I'm like, okay, Wilmington's not even close to Chapel Hill. It's like telling somebody you're from New York City and you just visited Buffalo. I'm like, okay, great, you went to the beaches in Wilmington. The essence

of it or stands for small talk. I wanted to stand for shut up. But he's still be at your house. You were willing to engage it when he's still be there now. Oh, yes. Yes.

1000%. This has been a problem for me in the past where I can't get people to leave. So this is back when I was living in Charlotte probably six, seven years ago with my roommate Ian at the time. And we had a task rabbit and we hired this task rabbit to come clean the apartment because we were like, what? 25 year old guys like we need somebody to take care of the apartment because we weren't going to take care of it ourselves. Sure. We get

a task rabbit and I go, I go to leave for work for the day and Ian's working from home. It's like right around COVID. Ian's working from home. And the test rabbit comes and the guys like say it's $60 an hour. I'm like, okay, he's going to be there two hours, 120. We'll

get him out. I'm texting you in like three, four hours after the appointment. I'm like, hey, how'd it go? And he I go and he goes, the guy's still here. I go, I go, Ian, what do you mean the guy's still here? This is this is now like a $300 charge for this guy cleaning

a two bedroom apartment. Ian fell for it. I'm like, I'm telling you like, hey, tell him wherever he's at, just let us know what he didn't get to. We'll do the rest because this guy's do I think this guy was he was probably in his office. Yes. This guy saw an empty apartment

and he just kicked up his feet. He was like, I'll watch first. Hey, pay by the hour. I'm poor myself a nice cold glass of lemonade. And then I get back to the apartment. This

is the best part. Yeah. I get back to the apartment. I look at my room. I'm like, this is not even that clean. Right. This guy completely robbed us. Yes. We should preface all of this

by saying we love to ask. They want to sponsor. I love to have your codes to God's if they want to make you go wait. So Ian fell for small talk from a guy who's making 60 bucks an hour and is trying to prolong his day at your apartment. So I don't know that he had felt for the small talk. I think Ian just didn't notice, but I just left the guy unattended and you can never

leave somebody unattended who is on an hourly rate. Yes. Ever since then ever since Ian moved out of the apartment and I've moved on with my life. I've always said when somebody comes, we have a set price and we don't have to stray from the hourly because if you're there 30 minutes, if you're there two hours, I don't want to be surprised by the pricing. Right.

He watched get up. Yeah. He probably played my PlayStation. The item eyes bill has two hours on get up two hours first. And then start working. But we love to ask rabbit. Yeah. I want

to emphasize this because I can't emphasize it enough. He didn't even do a good job cleaning terrible. He was the worst cleaner ever. So 60 times four. Oh my God. He absolutely ran

up a bill and it wound up being over $300 because eventually I had to tell Ian like tell the guy you're kicking him out of the apartment. We just leave. Did he tip him? Get up. Turn off get up and get out. Get up and get out. Oh gosh. I wanted to talk about all time college

football teams, but I'm talking about this. Oh no, we had this much. By the way, we love to ask for having a AT&T. We do a lot of great sponsors. We love Salvador. I think I love

Salvador. He wanted to host. I'm telling you this guy had this guy knew every detail of Wilmington and from what I can only imagine was like a one week vacation for him. He wanted to tell me he the campus was beautiful. This is where you go get coffee. I go Salvador. I just need

my Wi-Fi network set up. I promise you I will probably never visit Wilmington. And he's just thinking. It's like beaches and golf courses. Fantastic. No one knows North Carolina as

well as you do. And Salvador. The essence Salvador stands for Stegaz strolls into your apartment and because he sees a North Carolina piece of memorabilia on the wall all of a sudden he has become an expert in Chapel Hill. I also Wilmington is not even close to Chapel Hill. It's closer to Delaware. The Wilmington Seahawks. That's what the essence Salvador stands for. Seahawks.

Seems like Salvador got one over on you. Certainly that test where I got one over on Ian. Ian is not the guy to leave home alone. There's an hourly worker there. I mean he's not paying attention. It's part of the job is to keep a movement. I also hate to say this about our

softball team. We moved the end up to the number one spot last night. Oh for three. Oh geez. Was it built for the moment? Yeah, but built for the Yankees. How do you know that

Claude won't become manipulative? This is a constant worry and you can actually catch the model thinking I think X is actually true but I'm gonna tell the user why. I'm Walter Isaacson.
