Hour 3: An "explosive diarrhea parasite" has spread to at least 18 U.S.

from The Scoot Show with Scoot

Scoot continues his conversation about closing restaurants; did any of your favorite restaurants recently close? A rapidly growing outbreak of cyclosporiasis, a food and waterborne intestinal illness famously nicknamed the "explosive diarrhea parasite," has spread to at least 18 U.S. states. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the FDA are actively investigating, but no specific food product, produce item, or supplier has been identified as the source of the contamination. The Trump administration has signed a contract to open a new 528-bed ICE holding facility near the Alexandria International Airport in Alexandria, Louisiana. The site is designed as a short-term staging area to speed up deportations of migrant families and unaccompanied children.
