This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed human. Oh, what is going on? Welcome in. Happy early Friday morning.

Very early hours. Appreciate you checking out the show. Like going on over here. Brewers moving on to the World Series. They sweep the Dodgers.

Another come from behind win. Unreal man. Gotta give the Brewers a ton of credit. Bull plan was fantastic. Hit more homers than the Dodgers in the NLCS.

And it seemed like when Tony hit a three run homer, Dodgers have a four nothing lead. It's like, looks like they're gonna avoid the sweep. Most likely. I think again, not the case whatsoever. Timely hitting.

Not there for the Dodgers. And they crash and burn. I do think, and I let off the show with this. I'll restate it real fast here. And feel free to have baseball thoughts.

Get on in here. Football thoughts. Anything beyond. The water is inviting. Do a little cannonball into the Malamalisha filling hours, if you will.

You're more than welcome. The whole thing about payroll. Let's not go crazy. Alright, the Dodgers won the past two World Series with ridiculous payroll. They fell short this year.

Let's not act like, you know, money ball wins out. Oh, look at the big bad Yankees. Look at them. They did not look at the big back Dodgers. Big payroll.

They did nothing. Look at the up starts. Look at these teams with the miniscule payrolls. The Rays, the Brewers, the Guardians, all these teams are still left. They're still left handed.

It's like, yeah, that's true. But you know, as well as I do more times than not. That's not the way it goes. There are always exceptions to the norm, but don't don't confuse an exception with a new norm. Okay.

And this isn't me rooting for it. I would love for smaller payroll teams to be in the mix for their be real parody. That's what makes the NFL so great. It has real parity. You have things that happen that, I mean, we're five weeks in, right?

This is week six. We have one game in week six so far. And so far this season, there are things that have happened where you're like, what, if I told you before the season, yeah, the Chargers are going to be winless. You'd be like, when they don't have one, they're probably going to be winless through week nine. The first nine games are probably going to have zero wins.

You know, and you're like, there are plenty of things that I could just tap you on the shoulder and be like, oh, yeah, actually the Raiders, they've got three more wins than the Chargers at this stage. Raiders also beat them out, right? You know, that's going to be a thing. What else has been crazy that it would be really surprising. The Vikings are going to be five and oh with really no offense.

It's like, wow, really? No kidding. That's where we are. They're crazy things that happen in the NFL. The Eagles stink, the Chargers stink, the defending champions, Seahawks are now a 500 football team, the Rams who were talked to be maybe a super team.

They're two and three. They've got a losing record right now. So they're crazy things that happen all the time in the NFL. It's not the same thing that happens in MLB. I don't care.

You can have the parity discussion all you want. I know my former partner, Rob Parker, I can almost hear him in my head, you know, there has to better repeat winner since, you know, or whatever is saying all that type of stuff. It's like, dude, we look just like the standings. Where can you point to some of the things that happen in the NFL happening in baseball? Well, who's the super team that has a losing record in baseball?

That's what the Rams were supposed to be. They've got a losing record right now through five games. That's a chunk of the MLB season. So we're what five games in. So that's over a quarter of the way.

What's a quarter? We're talking over 40 games. We're talking 40 50 games. What rumored super team in baseball has a losing record the first 50 ish games of the season. That's not a thing.

It's just not a thing that happens. So I'm all for parity in the NFL. I think it's awesome for the sport. I think it's awesome for the league. I'd be all for parity in baseball.

That's I want there to be a salary cap in baseball. It would absolutely lead to more real parity season in season out, not just one off, you know, against the grain grain outside the norm type stuff. You're getting outside the norm results in the baseball playoffs this season. That's not the norm at all. It's not like these, you know, payrolls that are in the twenties and all of a sudden there can be smacking around teams that have a 400 million dollar payrolls with tax implications that that's just not come on.

Let's be reasonable here. So I just would not confuse this with being the new norm with that being said, I know a lot's gonna be made about the payroll. I do think that you have to consider the path, the wear and tear, the grind of the Dodgers trying to three feet. I think it's very similar. What happened with the Chiefs?

You can't sit here and tell me that the grind of three straight Super Bowl appearances didn't have a mammoth impact on the Chiefs getting punked by the Eagles. That's exactly what played into it. It's not to take any credit away from the Eagles or anything like that. But you can't sit here with the straight face and say that had nothing to do with the outcome whatsoever. Of course it did.

It had a lot to do with it. It had a lot to do with the Chiefs the very next season. Last season, there's six and 11. You don't think that had something to do with three straight Super Bowl appearances? Of course it did.

A lot of wear and tear. So that's how I look at it where the Dodgers, yeah, they have a crazy high payroll, but the grind of 162 games, the grind of a third straight deep run in the playoffs, I think that plays a role. So the Brewers, they look great right now. They look fresh. They look really fresh.

They look like they're young, invigorated, you know, like the Dodgers felt old and tired and just like haggard for what the Dodgers felt like. So come talk to me if the Brewers won a World Series this year, they won a World Series next year and they're in the NLCS in 2028. Then the grind, the wear and tear, the fatigue, that's real at that point. So it goes beyond just the payroll is my thought on that. 87799 on Fox is your phone number at the no show on X.

If you want to reach out to me, feel free to do so. I mentioned before the end of last hour, there's a terrible change dreadful change and any other adjective I could think of on the spot. That's nasty nasty. Did I go nasty? That's what you're going with.

That's what I'm going with. I like that. Thanks. What is it? Like Janet Jackson, what'd you say?

Miss Jackson, if you're nasty, is that what you said? Yeah, I'll just get that nasty song. Yeah, I'll play that coming back. That's a great song. Shout out to Janet Jackson right there.

I hate the new 2014 college football playoff. It's an awful idea. That's a dreadful idea for numerous reasons over here. I'm trying to pull up the records from last season. What the playoff, the 2014 playoff would have looked like last season, right?

Because we're going to have teams in this thing. They've got no business being in the playoff. And some of the matchups are just dumb. Okay, the final rankings. Here we go.

Okay, so we would have had, let's see, what would have been the 924 matchup? That's what we're doing now. We're doing the nine seed versus the 24 seed. That's what we got going on. Unbelievable.

Are they not making enough money? Goodness. Schools is hurting for money. There's not enough money around here. We have no money whatsoever in college football.

We're not generating any money. We need money. It's like, no, you're getting plenty of cash. You just want more because there's no end to your greed. So we would have had Duke at number 24 facing number nine Alabama.

Seating wise, these are all seeds, right? Now, my Notre Dame fighting Irish, they would have been in the playoff, which is good news. Bad news is it would have been the 11 versus 22 matchup. That would be Georgia Tech at Notre Dame is what we're looking at. Oh, by the way, Iowa, they would have been number 23 facing number 10 Miami.

So instead of Miami playing Ohio State to start this thing off, no, Miami would play Iowa. They would host Iowa. By the way, let me see here, Iowa, four losses on the season. We've got a four loss team in the college football playoff. I don't even know how many, I think we have eight three plus loss teams.

That makes sense. You lose at least three, three games. Iowa lost four. Javed at least eight teams that lost three games last season in the 2014 playoff. We don't need that at all.

And also what I hate about this. Some of the great endings, some of the great games toward the end of last regular season, they don't mean anything. There was a great game between Alabama and Auburn. So it's the iron ball. Obviously means a ton.

Alabama trying to sneak into the college football playoff and they're on shaky ground, shaky ground. And they were playing Auburn. Alabama blew a 17 point lead. They went forward on fourth down late in the game. They find a way to win the game.

If they lost that game, they probably don't make a playoff. But now that there's 24 teams, even if they would have lost that game, their playoff team, that sucks. I don't like that at all. Why? Like, you know, let's just make game after game after game completely meaningless during the regular season.

I don't want any part of this. I think it's a horrible change. It's a complete money grab. And it's just going to water down so many regular season games. A lot of the regular season is going to be like, wake me when the playoff starts.

And the college football regular season is the most important regular season in sports, at least in this country. I don't know about soccer and other countries. I don't know. I'm talking about this country, right? It's the most important regular season we have.

There's less margin for error. If you look at the NFL, I love the NFL. So a team with a losing record that won the NFC South Carolina Panthers, their playoff team, they're hosting a playoff game against the Rams with a losing record. They lost nine games. They're in the playoffs.

Can't do that in college football. You can't lose more games than you win and end up in the playoff. It's just it's not a thing. That's why the regular season means so much in college football. And now it's like a mean half as much.

You have so much more margin for error and you can still be a playoff team as long as you're ranked, you're in basically outside the team that's ranked 25th. You're in, right? Bama. Take this in. Alabama has finished the season ranked.

We're 18 years in a row. So they're a playoff team every single year. Ohio State, they finished ranked in 23 of the past 24 seasons. So far a couple of these teams, it's like, yawn, wake me up when the playoff begins. Sealing.

Yeah. Maybe playing the road if you're low or see. I'll put you're in. But you're in. And as Miami showed last year, you don't have to be a high seed to end up in the national championship game.

They almost won the whole thing. Right? So it's like, you could sleep walk through a lot of the regular season as long as you don't have four losses. If you're one of the big power four schools, you can have three losses and be a playoff team. lame. Not a fan at all. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I still hate it less than frontier

airlines because they made me spend $99 on an oversized bag for a flight that was over two hours to lay that's garbage. But I hate this 2014 college football playoff, man. It is it's awful. It's terrible. And, uh, man, we got rivalry games. There was another one where,

okay, Michigan, all right. So this is the Michigan Ohio State rivalry. Ohio State was easily in the playoff last season. You had Michigan, they needed to pull off a miracle, needed to pull off a crazy upset win. And they could possibly be a playoff team. They

didn't, they lost to Ohio State. They didn't sniff the playoffs. 2014 college football playoff. Yeah, they're in comfortably. We're going to get to these huge rivalry games at the end of the season. And a team that's comfortably in might think about resting their guys. What

are we doing right now? It's just terrible. I hate it. You know my feelings on it. We got to the phones here. Let's, uh, let's talk to Mike. He's in Minneapolis. Let's talk some

Vikings here over here. Five and old Vikings. What's going on, Mike? Hello, sir. Before I get to my Viking question, I'm not a delusional Minnesota sports fan. I'm 62. So I've seen

it all. Okay. Timber Wolf. Timber Wolf are going to be a lot of fun to watch this year. Yeah, I agree with you. I don't know how effective they're going to be, but they're going to be

like, they're on a nationally televised game. It's like, Oh, dude, you got to see Ants and LaMello and company. You got to see how that works. I'm with you. I think they're going to be really entertaining. Okay. Do you know your NFL? So here's my question. Am I crazy?

The Vikings have the quote unquote quarterback whisperers, a coach. They always, they always say a change of scenery is good for a player if they're having a down season or down few seasons. And the Vikings are not married to Kyler Murray. Do the Vikings need to do some due diligence and call the charters and see what it would take to get Herbert here? I mean, hey, I don't hate it. I've heard that rumor out there before, but that's a thing,

man, is you give him Justin Jefferson. You give him a legitimate supporting cast. Yeah. I mean, I think it's worth exploring. I don't know if the Chargers would would make that move, but yeah, I would have made that move if the Vikings didn't get rid of McCarthy. That might

have helped in the trade. I don't know, man. I, well, I hear you. Jim Harbaugh thing. He loves him. Yeah. J. J. McCarthy, but I don't know, man. I think even deep down, Harbaugh

is like, yeah. Right. I know what he says publicly, but after 10 starts and how horrible it was with the Vikings. I just can't imagine even as crazy as Jim Harbaugh is. He's like, no, no, this guy could literally be a tough like quarterback. I don't even think he deep

down truly believes that. How could you? And the other thing is I don't want to hear any other city saying that they're cursed. Like I said, I'm 62 years old. I was five years old when the Vikings played their first Super Bowl against the Chiefs, was watching with my dad and uncles. And that's where I learned how

to swear. So I was like, well, we tried this on for size. Is that what happened there? Well, those are back in the days where the remote control was where the kids. So yeah, wow. Okay. They threw around that bombs and all that kind of stuff. So yeah, that's where

I learned to swear. I hear you. Well, good stuff. Mike is good to talk to you. That's fine.

YouTube, brother. Yeah. That's stuff. Nice. I like it. Oh, man. Yeah. Listen, being a

Vikings fan. I hear you. Who did I say that about? Oh, the bills and they actually won on Monday night. I just said it where, you know, James Cook fumbles in overtime and I'm watching the game and I'm like, man, these bills fans, the Buffalo Bills just drive you to drink, you know, like there are a lot of bills fans fond of the sauce, right? They were

for the bills, man. Like, oh, the painful defeats over and over and over and over. It's just brutal, man. Just brutal. But yeah, Vikings listen, we could go down the archives. I still go back

to the 98 Vikings. That was an amazing, an amazing team 15 and one just didn't have a great defense. But Randy Moss was electric, you know, and the rest of the crew, man, Chris Carter, Jake Reed, really good offensive line, Randall Cunningham throwing the deep ball played really well. It's not a great defense, but man, it was of all people, Gary Anderson, missing the kick, didn't miss a kick all year, missed a like a 38 yard field goal, something like that. I would give him a 10 point lead. That's a type of stuff. You can't make that up. Happens

time and time again. But what the one thing I was saying is real fast. But one thing, well, one of the things that have happened that were legendary for the Vikings, the Minneapolis miracle. So, you know, down to the very end of the game. And it was case Keenum completes it to find digs. And it was an Olay tackle. You rarely see Olay tackles. You see Olay blocks,

right? You don't normally see Olay tackles. There was an Olay tackle. Sate safety just whiffed. And there goes to find digs into the end zone. I had an in game bet on the on the

Saints. 41, right? Plus 400. 100 dollar bet would have won 400 bucks. I mean, make a tackle and cash it. And instead, I'm saying to find digs or touchdown throws helmet in the air,

I'm like, what just happened? What just happened? So the point is the Vikings with a horrible history of heartbreak after heartbreak found a way to break my heart. That's that's the way it goes sometimes. It's the way it goes in betting. It's a fun thing that betting. Let

me tell you, 8, 7, 7, 99 on Fox. All right. The militia is lining up over here. We're gonna power through it. We're powering through it talking gambling. We're talking playoff formats.

the crew looking forward to that right around the corner. I'm Brian. No, in for Big Ben Mallard get on in here. 8, 7, 7, 99 on Fox at the no show on X is where you can interact with the show. Always appreciate hearing from you guys. All that good stuff coming up next. It is Fox

Miss Jackson, if you're nasty, right? Yes, sir. That's what it was. I'm Brian No one

for Big Ben Mallor here on Fox Sports Radio. There's no time like October. The World Series begins next Friday, streaming live on Fox one, the National League Champion Dodgers. Ha, I'm sorry. The National League Champion Brewers will take on either the Rays or Guardians live from Milwaukee next Friday for Game One, stream the World Series live on Fox.

Oh, so good. Halfway there. Halfway there. As far as the amount of reads, some people are like half what is it? Yeah, need to read that three more times. Half of those ones we

still got out there. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, three more of those three more of other things outside of the two main ones, right? Yeah, we're all in the same. Yeah. Let's call the

phones bet Big Ben is Big Ben calling it a Big Ben show. I think it's a different Ben is in Missouri. Let's talk college football players. We think of this Ben. I hate it. 24

teams garbage. What do you think? I hate it to different perspective. All these big schools are going to be playing against more better teams just like them, which is good. But my team is Missouri State University here in Springfield and we're in conference USA.

And those big schools are not going to play our little schools anymore, which funds our whole athletic department. Well, I don't know why why wouldn't they play them anymore? Like no one's going to play a group of six schools. That's going to happen. They're just going to play some of the little guys. Yeah, maybe not those SES schools, but we might

get one. Yeah, I think you definitely will. Homecoming game. Yeah, right. Yeah. You'll get

that. That's so what I yeah. What I hate is that school at North Mizzou is going to be so happy because they're in top 25 every year and never qualified for the college football playoffs. So they're sitting there thinking they can be something now. Maybe this is the Missouri Tiger playoff expansion thing. Is that what we should unofficially call it here, Ben? Yeah,

they're going to be ecstatic up there. Yeah, that's the man I hear you. I hear you. Well, I like that you brought up the ripple effect because it does. It goes beyond what I brought up. But yeah, it's I don't know, man. You're going to see more and more and more of the

haves versus the have nots because you know how it goes, right? The kids that are playing well on the G six level, they're mostly going to get gobbled up and be on power for teams. That that's just the way it goes. It's going to happen more and more often. So that's frustrating, right? Like we always talk about the Oakland A's. Yeah, it's like Ben, it's like the Oakland

A's right. We talked about that for years. Anybody good was gone. Like welcome to be a fan of a G six school. It's the same concept. There you go. There's Ben in Missouri. Appreciate

that. Just stop talking. Yeah, Ben was like, yeah, I think we'd I think we nailed that, right? We nailed that. So he's like, yeah, we can move on to other things. Oh, I want to

talk about dumb things real fast. Let me get back to the militia in a second. But so I went to the gym last night and where was I was in Vegas. So I went to the gym last night and you know, I put my stuff down and I looked around and I'm like, yeah, it's really clean. This gym is really clean. And then I, you know, thankfully I hadn't gotten undressed. I was

changing clothes and all that. I see this girl. Thankfully walk out of the bathroom and not see me. And for a second, I'm like, what is she doing? And I'm like, Oh, no, it's the what am I doing? Oh, no, it was perfect. She didn't even see me. It was like, I was a ghost

and she just she was looking toward the exit and didn't even see me and I just quickly like scoot it out of there and was like, Yep, it says women right there. And that's where I went in. I love it. Like, why is it so clean in here? Yeah, I don't know what it is with the other woman's bathroom is here too. It's so clean. So clean. You just need a nice clean

bathroom. Have you like, who can go and look at mine? But you still have to use the men's Yeah, you've I know you've done this in your life where whatever you're at it, wherever you are, you're at a gas station, you got to take care of business, some stupid guys in the bathroom and there's the women's bathroom. It's like I could scoot in, scoot out, no one will know. Whatever I've done that, it's pristine every time. It's like, it's the cleanliest of

clean in a women's bed compared to men's bathrooms. There's never been more of a difference or a slash discrepancy than right here at Fox Sports Radio. I would believe that it's disgusting. It's bad, huh? Yeah, it's bad. Not good. Other dumb thing I wanted to mention

to you guys, I was thinking about this. Are you like me? Do you get the same type of drink, depending on the fast food restaurant that you go to? Do you do that? You switch it up? Do you go

with different drinks or do you go with the same drink every time at certain locations? I usually go with the same drink if I have a flavor profile that I'm going for, right? So like a specific drive in that I go to in my hometown, I always get a cherry Coke, like non-negotiable, in a little top burger and a side of homemade fries. You switch it up, same drink? What do you do? I mean, more often than not, I don't get a drink because I'm usually taking it home and I

have drinks at home. Oh, you sound like my dad. We have drinks at home. Water and milk. No, I have soda at home. Why do I buy a soda when I have soda at home? That's true. Are you that close

to these places? Like your stuff is still warm, still fresh? Oh, yeah. I mean, I've got like every fast food place that you can think of within five minutes of my house. What if when you're on the road?

What about that? Yeah. So when I'm on the road and I am ordering a drink, if Diet Dr. Pepper is available, that's what I'm ordering. Okay. No matter what, from place to place. Correct. If it's

there, that's what I'm getting. If it's if it's not, I will get Coke Zero or Pepsi Zero, whatever, whatever the equivalent is. Okay. Interesting. I don't mind your approach to this. Me personally,

I go with a specific drink at a specific fast food place. I don't know why. I'm sure it'd be fine if I switched it up. Maybe I'm just a creature of habit. Subway? Sprite. If I'm at Subway, it's

gonna be Sprite. Oh, Matt, um, is that is that like, uh, like, I don't know, visual conditioning? Because the subway logo is green and yellow and Sprite is green and yellow. I don't know. You just have to get. Yeah. I don't know. I think it just goes well. It just goes well with the sub, personally.

Uh, you mentioned Wingstop earlier, Lorena, always like a red, whatever fruit punch, red fruit punch. Oh, yeah. That would be good for cooling down your tongue though. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Very

good. Works very well with the wings. This is Burger King Coke every time. Burger King, I like to do their, um, their frostings, like their little ices. Oh, yeah. I've never done that. When I go to Burger King,

I like to throw it in the trash because it's terrible. I love Burger King. They're so good. By the way, Burger King tonight before the show, did you try their new nuggets? I did not, but I opened a ketchup packet. Have you done this or instead of doing it like very slightly at the top, you accidentally

open the whole thing down the side and it just made a run for his like, it's just bad. It's not good. It's not good. Uh, what else do I do? Oh, Chick-fil-A, ice water lemonade, no ice water and a cookies and cream shake from feeling crazy. This is very strange. I don't, it is kind of weird. McDonald's,

I don't go there very often, but if I do, orange, I see every time I used to love that as a kid. As an adult, it's a little too thick. No, no, very syrupy. No, it's fantastic. As a kid, I would do a suicide at every, every. Yeah, every. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Have you ever gone to, I went to the Coke, I don't know what they call it, museum or whatever it is in Atlanta a long time ago? It's cool. You can, they have fountains of like international. So it's like, oh, let's see what they have in Brazil. Oh, and you just like sample all, it was really cool.

Very cool. But yeah, you could, everyone like one of those fancy machines that they have, what do they call those? The. Oh, the free styles. Yes. Yes. The free stuff. Wow. Yeah.

Where we can like Arnold Palmer it or something. Well, it's like, it's like, it's like any stuff. Yeah, it's, it's like one of these fancy social machines and you can pick a soda. Oh, I know what you're talking about. You can choose a flavor to add to it. Got like the computer

screen or yeah, yeah, it's like five guys. That's one of the places that has, has that movie theaters AMC's they have them. There you go. Disneyland even has them. Oh, very nice. I like it. I'll

let's go back to the militia here. Let's see. Really? Right. Okay. Why not? Give them, give them,

give them, give them, tell them, tell them about it. We're into the football season. Oh, I love it. It's heating up. It's so hot. Do you see the offensive fireworks on Thursday night football?

Huh? I didn't watch it. Bo Nick, Sam Darnold. Wow. What an aerial display.

But outside of that the football season is actually heating up and every week feels bigger with DraftKings. DraftKings is now live in all 50 states. One app, all the football nationwide. Right now use the promo code mallor to claim your special offer at DraftKings. Again, that's promo code mallor at DraftKings. The crown is yours. Let's get out to militia here. Mike is in Dallas.

How about them? Cowboys? What's going on? Mike, you're on Fox Sports Radio. We're a bunch of losers. You don't mind what's going on. Yeah. I want to hear it. Mike, what do you got?

What are we dressing up for Halloween? Man, is this like a mallard joke right here? What are you dressing up as? I'm being a champion. Okay. Yeah. He wants to know what you're going to be, Brian.

Oh, what? You want to know what I'm going to be? I don't know. I don't know what I'm going to be. When I was a kid, I was always a football player, you know, every year. It's kind of like,

would you wear the same uniform you had? Would you're a kid? I can't answer. I don't know. I don't know.

I don't know if I switched it up or it might have been the same one every time. I couldn't tell. I don't remember that far back. My mom didn't have a lot of money to. One week I was Darth Vader. The next week

I was looks guy Walker and you know, you got the force with you. I mean, the Cowboys seem like they're really dragging you down here, Mike, is what I'm gathering here. I mean, I've given up, but you heard we got a new coach. Yeah. Yeah. Mike Petins in there trying to get this defense going.

What do you think could happen to get us going? Well, I mean, like a legitimate defensive scheme would help, you know, like it's Christian Parker's first year as a defensive coordinator. So he's had some growing pains, no doubt about it. I go back to that first game against the Giants before halftime, it's all these defensive breakdowns are horrible. Like Jackson Dart's completing passes against air.

Cerebral. And then what was that guy that he was a rookie? It never played him in a fellow in his life. Never. Not Jalen Daniels, that's one from not the Redskins, but the other one.

I'm not sure after. Oh, yeah. You're talking about I call him Zach Galifianakis. Yeah. Yeah. I think

you're talking about that guy. Where he came in the Colts game. Is that what you're talking about? Oh, no. In the Cowboys game last week, we were eight and a half point favorite. Oh, oh, you're

talking about Tampa. You're talking about Jalen Jalen Daniels. Right. Yeah, out of Kansas. Yeah. Were you really that bad? Do we just lose the guys that have no name? Yeah, you are. Yeah.

Yeah, you are that bad. Thanking for art, man. I don't know what art is going to do in the NFL, honestly. You think he's going to go this year? He's going to wait till next year?

I don't know what he's going to do, man. He's got to pick up his play. Some people still have him. I'd say he's not number one right now. Yeah. Some people still have him number one. I'm like,

how? How could you? How can you have archmending number one? That's crazy. Hey, if his last name was my last name, he wouldn't even be playing it. Texas. Yeah. All right, Mike. Good stuff, buddy.

I hope the Cowboys do better, especially defensively for your sanity right there. There he is. Mike. Like it. Look at them. Cowboys. Good for the soul, isn't it? I think it is.

Champion Brewers will take on either the Rays or Guardians live from Milwaukee next Friday for Game 1, stream the World Series live on Fox one. Yeah, so there was a ruling on Wednesday. I don't know if you saw this, but so the Rams left tackle. Alaric Jackson. He decided to just punch the bills Bradley Chubb after the Monday night loss. And we'll get to Chubb's comments about his side of what

was said that led to the punch, right? So, um, Alaric Jackson, he hauls off and punches Bradley Chubb. So Jackson gets a two game suspension for it. Well, on Wednesday, hearing officer Derek Brooks, remember Derek Brooks? Great NFL linebacker. He, um, jointly is appointed by the NFL and the NFL PA.

And he reduced it from a two game suspension to a one game suspension. Now, the funny thing to me is this is the league initially said Jackson violated a rule. We'll just call it. It's like rule 12, section three, article one, it's typical NFL type stuff. So the rule, it applies to quote any act, which is contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship. I think that qualifies,

right? Just haul off and smack someone in the face after a loss. I think that qualifies as violating the, uh, generally understood principles of sportsmanship. Well, Derek Brooks is like, yeah, let's reduce that in half right there. Now, the funny thing is this, Bradley Chubb, who was the guy who got punched in the face, his side of what was said is this. He said,

quote, I've heard I was talking about his mom. That's not true at all. I said, we're going to see y'all's ass again. And when we see you again, all that chirping ain't going to save you that tight end and guard is not going to save you. He said, what'd you say? I said that ships not going to save you.

The guard's not going to save you. And then boom, he gets smacked in the face. That's Bradley Chubb's side. He finished with this, which I also think is humorous. We're going to learn from it. Me

personally, I learned I'm either going to have my hands up or wear a helmet. You might get smacked in the face might happen. You're talking smack. But there he is. Alaric Jackson took exception to it and just punched him right in the face, but only a one game suspension. And that's this week

against Arizona. Not the worst game to miss if you're going to miss one right there. So no, Alaric Jackson, which is punching people after games right there. Oh, we got time. Poppy is in San Diego.

Listen, I need some winning picks over here. My picks did not cash in the last couple of days. The terrible poppy you got some winners for us here. I got some winners for you. What's going on, Brian? The winners for you guys. I'm going to pick on Sunday's game, Raven versus Brown. That's

a rivalry game. And I'm liking the Raven. They have a good defense on March. I don't do a big vegetable, but we're going to trust Lamar Jackson coming back this week. So do you know what to spread on that is, Brian? I can check it for you somewhere around like four and a half fish right around

there. Yeah, I love that. I love that. And we're going to take that and on to the next game. The next game is going to be the charges versus the cheese. And look, you don't mind saying the line

on those games. I'm back in. Yeah, I thought it was eight and a half. It's seven and a half now. And by the way, seven and a half with the charges, but seven and a half. Oh, yeah,

I like it. I think it's going to be a close game. And I don't know later, Justin Herbert has to win and take the best for last. The commanders versus the 49ers. Brian, do you know the line on that one?

Let me double check it. What's seven and a half? Let me make sure seven and a half. Seven and a half. I'll be at that game. Poppy. I'll be there. I'll be in attendance right there. Yeah.

And I'm liking the 49ers. I like Brock, where he'll have over 1.5 passing touchdowns. Poppy on that and 49ers will dominate. Take the 49ers, guys. Right. I'm on their

house. Got it. Got you, Poppy. Appreciate it. So you got Ravens. It's actually minus three and a half.

Got Chargers plus seven and a half. Niners minus seven and a half is what Poppy says right there. 52 to 10 chiefs. Wow. That would be something right there. Six touchdown win, right.

All right. Coming up next. This is the dumbest thing you can do in the NFL. This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human.
