I want to share a not with you I got from my friend Laurie, the daughter of my first grade teacher in Windom, Avis Fett.... I would like to ask one more thing of her students and others who know her. With all the stuff going on in the world she is isolated and lonely in the nursing home. I know it would brighten her days to get cards and letters from people. Talk about how you know her and who you are. Let her know how she influenced your life. He specifically says that all who follow him can expect hardship. But didn’t Jesus hang on a cross so we wouldn’t have to suffer hell? Yes, but not so we wouldn’t have to suffer here on earth. Listen to the Bible on this: “I will show [Paul] how much he must suffer for my name” (Acts 9:16). “It has been granted to you on behalf of Christ…to suffer for him” (Phil. 1:29).
