House Of Hope Radio July 1

from For God's Glory Alone Ministries · host FGGAM

Big News for the "House of Hope" listen in for the news! I want to share this story with you.... In the early 1900’s, 16-year-old William Whiting Borden graduated from a Chicago high school. He was an heir to the Borden fortune. Before Borden began his Ivy League education at Yale University, his parents sent him on a trip around the world for his graduation present. Earlier in Borden’s life, he had come to Christ through the great ministry of D.L. Moody. While on his trip around the world, something happened that no one expected. As Borden traveled through Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, he felt a growing burden for the world’s hurting people. Throwing his life away Borden wrote a letter to his parents and informed them he wanted to spend the remainder of his life being a missionary. Upon hearing the news, one of his friends remarked that he would be “throwing his life away as a missionary.”
