KEY TAKEAWAYS Expectations were that deals would dry up with the falling of house prices, but this hasn't proved true. People are still looking for ways to maximise value and sell/buy. Consumer duty is about protecting customers and making sure they're kept up to date on what's going on at all times. The new SLAs are not in the spirit of this so called duty, and this needs to change. There are always ways to add value, and always opportunities to take advantage of, no matter what the time of year is, and no matter what the state of the market is.
