The story behind casadephunk began as a marathon of house parties in 2022, sparked by a trip back to Barcelona. Bringing along friends, her brand new USB loaded with spankin’ hot house tunes, and a “fits perfectly in my carry-on” DDJ-400 mixer …her crew never made it out to Barcelona’s nightclubs. Returning to Berlin with a new-found energy, she's has been making ripples in its cultural scene — from behind the decks as elliephunk, and beyond as founder, curator, and main mamacita at casadephunk. Her signature sound is "rooted in House, fundamentally phunky" with influences from minimal, handbag, breakbeat, Afro-Latin and hardgroove subgenres, as well as RnB, soul, and jazz. casadephunk (a.k.a. casa) is a Berlin-based community event series centered around the concept of "casa = house = home". casa already spotlighted 50+ POC, queer, and FLINTA artists from diverse disciplines since launching to the public February 2024.
