House Saladcast 991 | Mike Riviera & Marco Ohboy Q1E2 Berlin, Germany Mike Riviera and Marco Ohboy bring us back down for a more earthly kind of ecstatic experience, cranking up the humidity and coaxing out the endorphins with the appropriately-titled “Euphoria” - a rugged, rave-adjacent heater that cleverly rearranges elements of classic house and garage into a decidedly modern club workout. Mike Riviera (real name Michele Tessadri) is a music maker and Dj deeply inspired by funk, disco and house music. He started releasing music as Fratelli Riviera in 2008 on Bearfunk (UK) and Slow MotionRecords (ITA/DE). In 2009 he started producing in a duo called The Heels of Love, with which he released an album on Nang (UK) and several 12” on labels such Under The Shade (UK) , Mad on the Moon (ITA) , Cliché Breaks (FR). With The Heels of Love he remixed tracks by the late 70´s French group Space and Phil Oakey from Human League just to name a few. After moving to Berlin in 2012 he started DJing in the alternative local scene (in clubs such as Griessmuehle, Renate, Diskothek Melancholie and many others) and formed a dj/production duo called Sauvage World. With this project he released several 12” on Slow Motion Records, Roam Recordings (US), Paradiso Records (UK). In 2024 he released “Night Jamz” in collaboration with italian legend Dj Rocca on Fortunea Rec (AU), the first Ep under the moniker Mike Riviera. Marco Ohboy is a Berlin-based DJ with a Mediterranean soul that merges a high-energy stage presence with a hypnotic mixing style. Marco’s sets blend punchy, groovy, and percussive rhythms with deep and cosmic acid textures infused by soulful and sensual vocal elements. His journey into music began with a bass guitar in rock n’ roll bands, but it was the electrifying energy of the Buggedout parties in Milan that drew him into the world of electronic music. Once in Berlin, Marco dove headfirst into the city’s nightlife, started collecting records and playing them at basements’ parties.. With a love for disco and funky house, Marco joined Berlin Bass Collective performing at iconic venues like Klunkerkranich, Anita Berber, and Loftus Hall. His creative spark led to the birth of his side project, Funky Espresso, alongside Aziz Hashmi, releasing their first productions on the Smooth Operators label. Marco’s passion for community and music intertwined when he co-founded RBL Berlin, a community radio where he not only hosted a monthly show but also played a key role in its ongoing operations. Today, Marco continues to evolve, drawing inspiration from proto house, acid house, deep, progressive, and Italo house. His current projects include curating the Pineta party series and collaborating with Mike Riviera on new music that pay homage to the Italo and Mediterranean club culture, bringing their vibrant essence to the dance floors. With performances at The Lot Radio in Brooklyn, The Kiosk Radio in Bruxelles, Refuge Worldwide in Berlin, Nextones Festival, and a Pineta takeover during ADE, Marco Ohboy is set to spread his infectious grooves across international stages.
