Houston - Margie Taylor

Margie Taylor is the founder of Taylorized PR, a boutique Public Relations firm serving the Greater Montgomery County area since 2014. Prior to establishing Taylorized PR Margie Taylor worked in the non-profit sector as Director of Development for Community Assistance Center (formerly known as Montgomery County Emergency Assistance), the Montgomery County Food Bank, as Director of Marketing/Development, and Montgomery County Youth Services, as Outreach Coordinator serving homeless youth with resources in all secondary schools throughout the county. She also worked part time in 2017 as Director for Development for Bridgewood Farms. Taylorized PR works with nonprofits, small businesses, and other organizations to increase branding, revenue, and awareness in the community. Services include social media, relationship marketing, direct mail, website maintenance, newsletters, community engagement, press releases, positive political consulting, developing marketing ideas, and special events. Taylor writes a weekly article in The Courier, hosts a weekly radio show in Downtown Conroe, and is a writer for Dockline Magazine.Margie’s non-profit experience began in 2003, and prior to that she worked 20 years in retail in various capacities- Foley’s as a buyer in the Men’s Fragrance Buying Office, Garden Ridge as a financial planner, Stage Stores (Palais Royal) in Buying Office, and many years in store management at various stores.Her engagement in the community includes membership in the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber, The Woodlands Area Chamber, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber as a Board Director, TX-Agri-Life Family and Community Health Committee, Entergy Power to Care Board, Board Director of Family Promise, Montgomery County Association of Business Women, Liberty Belles Republican Women, Conroe Downtown Area Association, and PR sponsor for many local non-profit events including The Woodlands Chamber Taste of the Town, The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Ball, the Community Assistance Center’s Annual Duck Race, The Family Promise Bed Races, and Conroe’s Christmas on Main. She also served on the Montgomery County Community Foundation selection committee 2016-2018. In 2015 she was the Volunteer of the Year for the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce, was honored to be Women of Distinction in 2014 with MCABW, and is an alumni of LMC 2015. Her experience has provided 30 years in leadership and 15 years in Marketing/Development. Jeff and Margie have been married for nearly 20 years and between them have 4 grown children ranging in age from 29-34, 6 grandchildren, and the youngest son serves in the Army.
