Houston..We Have Poopies!

I never thought I would be so happy to see a dirty diaper in my life! (Weird, I know) She had her 5th surgery yesterday, another exploratory, and another 2 centimeters of lower bowel were taken out. Why didnÂ’t that damn GI X-ray find this sooner? According to the doctors, todayÂ’s discovery means her intestines didnÂ’t twist again to reorganize itself and everything is working nicely. I think she has an awareness of whatÂ’s going on right now, because when a nurse is doing something she doesnÂ’t like, her blood pressure shoots up and she gets mad! Now her kidneys need a little bit of a kick-start, but my little gal is one tough cookie! Thank you so much to KeeraÂ’s pod-granny Madge and to all of you who have e-mailed us well wishes. WeÂ’re not out of the woods yet, but I can now see the field.
