HowHow can I draw another breath? Imagine anything better than deathBeaten down and barely able to lift my headIn so many ways I feel I’m already deadYou say you love me, yet the pain grows strongerCause every time you say it, the time’s grown longerSince you laid your head upon my bare chestLips pressed to my face, “Bear I love you best”So many months have ran by since that dayMy head, my heart, my mind- I can’t find the wayHow can I take another step? How can I walk?A jumble of unintelligible words, I can’t talkMy mind is mixed up like things in a blenderI curse and cry harder with every text I send herNothing helps, nothing gives me a glimmer of hopeJust an old man losing his grip unable to copeHow do I find peace of mind, heal my heart? My life spilled like the soda, right from the startWiped away and made to look ready to goJust smile through the pain, don’t let it showHow?Tim Windisch8 10 2026
