How a cancer diagnosis led to the book called The Chemo Club, with Andrea Faye Christians S2 EPS 37
from Let Fear Bounce - Tossing out nuggets of hope · host Host Kim Lengling
My chat with Andrea covers writing, living in different countries and how a diagnoses of cancer was the start of a new life. Andrea is currently writing a book with the title Chemo Club and the second book of her Time Binder Series. "Putting pen to paper, or fingers to the keyboard is something I've been doing for as long as I can remember. I still recall my mother’s “What Now!” expression as a teacher called her to one side at a parent's meeting. I was the child who could have earned air miles for my trips to “the naughty corner” and I can still see the look of astonishment on my mother's face as the teacher revealed page after page of stories written in my five-year-old hand. The writing was on the wall way back then." BIO Andrea was born and raised in Swansea, South Wales. Following a successful career in British radio including the BBC, she moved to the southern Mediterranean island of Malta to pursue her dream of becoming a freelance writer. A decade later she bought a farm in the Madonie mountains of Sicily where a menagerie of rescue animals found their way to her. With a son in Malta and a daughter in Sicily, Andrea has a home and her heart in both places. She now divides her time between the neighboring islands. Suspension is her debut novel. She is currently working hard on book 2 of the Time Binder Series as well as a novel entitled Chemo Club. Book I of the Time Binder Series An unexpected time travel tale. When Carla Thompson falls asleep and doesn't wake up, she is shocked to discover what destiny has in store for her. Suspended between two worlds, she meets Isambard Brunel, the legendary eighteenth-century civil engineer, who built the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, England, and who now serves as a guardian of its secrets. Historical events intertwine with Carla’s current reality and along the way she discovers a murder, encounters a host of characters including Jamaican psychic, Matilda, and engages in verbal banter with literary legend, Ernest Hemingway. Her adventures lead her to a startling revelation about why she was chosen for her strange new role. In death, Carla realizes she has never felt more alive. https://andreafayechristians.com This episode brought to you by Creative Edge Publicity Learn more about your host, Kim Lengling.
