How a Passion for Natural Healing Ignited a Platform to Educate and Curate: Shari Boyer

from LIBERTY ROAD with Nada Jones · host LIBERTY ROAD

Shari Boyer founded Plant Society with the mission of educating and providing access to natural remedies for optimal wellness. She was motivated to action by seeing the influence of pharmaceutical companies on our health care system, as well as the poor food available through most mainstream food companies.  In this episode, Nada sits down with Shari Boyer to discuss her passion and her company, Plant Society. With the legalization of Cannabis in California, Shari entered the wild wild west by launching her website of curated products and in-depth content about Cannabis and CBD.  After extensive research, partnering with an RN who is a medical cannabis advocate and developing an 8-point testing standard, her passion for CBD as a way to heal, became a thriving business. Shari shares how you don’t always have to develop your own products, you can curate and amplify the best ones already available and become a trusted resource for customers. Since Plant Society wasn’t Shari’s first entry into entrepreneurship, she learned that the most important thing she needed to launch was a one-page business plan and a five-year vision. Due to the legal issues around advertising cannabis, Shari turned her focus to engaging with various communities to spread the word about her offering. As a founder, she implores us to “stay flexible and listen”— just a few gems you’ll gather from this conversation You can learn more about Shari and Plant Society by visiting Plant Society’s website here.
