How a Photographer Successfully Shifted Her Business in a Time of Uncertainty w/Michelle Brewster

from The Boss Mom Podcast

Many of our Boss Moms run businesses that require them to meet clients in person. If your business is a face-to-face, belly-to-belly operation, the covid-19 pandemic has forced you to close doors and lose your bread and butter business.    The good news is there is a way to keep our businesses going and income coming in if we pivot and shift what we create, promote and sell.  Photographers are one of the most impacted professional groups, and one business owner managed to shift her photography operation to suit new consumer needs and challenges, create income and earning opportunities for fellow photographers.  How can we use this time to focus on what can move the needle in our businesses? What business lessons have we learned during this time? In this episode, I'm joined by photographer, entrepreneur and creator of the Swaddle Pro, Michelle Brewster. We talk about pivoting in a hard hit industry.    Even in this time, we can still show up virtually and help our clients. -Michelle Brewster     3 Things You'll Learn in This Episode   How coronavirus will shape new businesses Many people are going to emerge from this with newfound hobbies, interests and skills; and even with a reignited passion for a creative activity. These skills can become the foundation of brand new businesses.  Why this time can help us find focus Quarantine can help us focus and notice things when it comes to our children's education. This can also apply to our businesses. Many products are just not sellable right now so we need to focus on where we can get results. This time gives us the space to intensify on what's going to get us results right now.   The importance of showing up virtually Even if we can't be in the same room as clients and customers, we can still show up virtually for them, drive value and make an impact in people's lives in meeting their challenges.
