How a TV Show Sent Us Straight to the Old Testament

Sometimes God speaks through unexpected things, like a TV show. In this episode of Faith Is a Journey, we share how watching The House of David sparked a deeper dive into the Book of 1 Samuel. What started as casual entertainment turned into late-night Bible reading, Scripture cross-checking, and fresh insight into the lives of Samuel, Saul, and David. We unpack what we learned, what surprised us, and how obedience, listening, and childlike faith stood out in powerful ways. This isn’t about reviewing a show,  it’s about how God can use anything to pull us back to His Word. If you’ve ever wanted to connect more with the Old Testament but didn’t know where to start, this one’s for you.
