How are senior helped in your area to stay in their homes?

My guest is Bruce Otto who is the Executive Director of H.O.M.E. for seniors in Chicago.  They were recently featured on the Secret Millionaire show on television. I was drawn to H.O.M.E. for their humanitarian help for seniors.  They help low income seniors maintain their independence by providing free upkeep and home repair, free shopping bus and affordable housing. How are seniors helping in your area?  I know in my area, the elderly or health challenged are left to their own means.  While there may be public programs, access does not always mean a completion to the end product, helping the people directly and seeing the results.
