How can the Parable of the Persistent Widow & the Unjust Judge help us in Trump's America?

The faith of many has been shaken with the unlawful mass firings, attacks on free speech, demonizing citizens and the wholesale defunding of government agencies and the services they provide to the American people. This on top of the callous and almost cruel nature of recent legislation and executive orders. Is God punishing America or can we learn something new about faith?
