I was approved for standing wheelchair! Medicare and Medicaid usually don't pay for something like this because they don't consider it medically necessary. I got together with my physical therapist, Barbra Crume, who is specializes in seating and we talked about how people get the equipment they need and why it's so important to be fit for a wheelchair that supports your body.  In this podcast we also discussed how Barbara worked for one  medical facility that was bought out and they close the Seating Clinic. She decided to continue to do what she does and we're so grateful for that. She decided to continue her work at Mountain Care services. They are a nonprofit Organization that helps people get the equipment they need. please consider donating to them so they continue to do the work that they do. :) MountainCareServices.org  If you like this podcast please consider becoming a DIYabled to Patreon member.
