How Do I Develop A Prayer Life?

Prayer can sometimes feel intimidating. We worry about saying the right words, wonder why God feels distant, or simply get too busy to slow down and pray. Yet prayer was never meant to be complicated—it is not a performance, but a lifeline to the living God. In this episode of The Mobile Sanctuary, Pastor Phil Diaz explores how we can move beyond fear or routine and cultivate a prayer life that is real, authentic, and transformative. Drawing from Luke 11:1—where the disciples ask, “Lord, teach us to pray”—we will uncover why prayer was central to the life of Jesus and why it remains the key to our spiritual growth today. We’ll discuss: Making Prayer a Priority – Fitting prayer into daily life and why it’s worth the commitment. The ACTS Method – A simple, meaningful pattern of prayer: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication. Prayer as Relationship – Learning to connect with God personally rather than treating prayer as a ritual. If you’ve struggled with consistency in prayer or felt unsure of where to begin, this session will give you practical steps and encouragement to begin again.
