How do I find myself in a world where eveyone wants to be the same

The idea of being a individual is perhaps what creates much suffering for many. In our social spaces we gravitate often towards people who talk, walk and behave like us. We isolate, unfriend and unlike people who don't view the world the same way we do, we become indeferent to others and put up walls when others challenge our point of view, instead of learning to understand.
