How Do I Know I Am Following Jesus

Christian joy is not found by escaping work but by discovering purpose in doing the will of God. Jesus showed that obedience to the Father can nourish the soul, even when the path includes sacrifice, hardship, and suffering. Spiritual growth requires work: prayer, Scripture study, resisting temptation, serving others, removing distractions, and developing endurance through trials. Yet this labor is never wasted. God works through our faithful efforts while also transforming the worker into the image of Christ. As believers mature, obedience becomes more than duty. It becomes joyful progress toward the person God calls us to become.
