How do I say How do I say I’m sorry for your pain? Do I show my ignorance and moan again Do I just utter the syllables and form the word, in time that refrain starts to sound absurd Or do I wrap my life around the wounds, and say through my actions, you’re the best part of my day How do I say I would be happy to give, all I have and all I am just to be able to live With you. I see tomorrow’s full of hope, life is full of pitfalls we can hop, together we can cope Those days at the bottom, picturing that dream, ride the explosion of emotion wipe the steam How do I say I love you and will beyond measure? Do I try to paint a picture of all that I treasure? Do I tell you I’d forsake it all as long as I could stand, beside you in front of the world and take your hand? Or do I show you by my never-ending deeds, by perpetually trying to fulfill every one of your needs How do I say I love you, well I only know one way, kiss you goodnight, and kiss you to start every day That’s how Tim Windisch 02/23/2024
