How Do We Help Other People?

from Spontaneous Evolution · host Gav

Recently a few people asked me similar questions about changing the world or helping others. Generally people are well meaning and when they see others in trouble it's natural to want to get involved and help. However this could be quite different to the "need" to help others, a need is when we are trying to escape our own discomfort. Also in this video I discuss what integration may look like on the other side. It's not that once something is integrated all will be rosy and harmonious. Integrating some heavy challenges can present us with steps of action. If you integrate how you feel living with a violent partner might mean you become presented with obvious guidance to leave and start a new life. Naturally this would be quiet a challenging experience. To be clear that integration means we integrate a challenging emotion, but this may lead to new steps of change and growth. The work continues. Have a listen and let me know what you think. Like this episode?
