How Do We Improve Activist Coordination in the Digital Age?

Hello Friends!This was a great conversation with Brian over at the Together Foundation. He works both on Medium and Substack and he reached out to me because he had some great questions about what kind of changes are needed in terms of online publishing platforms.Holy cow did we have a great talk! I glanced at the email he sent and I realized I was going to have to write pages and pages to answer his questions, so a conversation would be better. I always find it interesting to see how people’s brains are wired differently. It was fascinating to take a bit of time to see what insight I could gain by seeing things from Brian’s perspective. It’s like we’re looking at the same mirror but from either side, the mirror being a computer screen.I’m looking forward to seeing the work that Brian does. I look at this fight from the writing angle because that’s what I’ve dedicated all my time to learning. But the fact is that the programming aspect goes hand in hand with the writing aspect. An algorithmic advantage can ensure mediocre work is seen everywhere and great work is buried. That’s what’s going on right now. That’s what we have to change.A main part of the problems facing us today are because we don’t have free and fair distribution for charitable ideas. It’s going to take a lot of cooperation and coordination to get there.
