How Do We Know Who Gets Into Heaven? The readings over the weekdays, and Sundays, of the Advent season are connected and deliberately chosen by the Church. In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us, not everybody who looks at Him and says Lord, will enter into Heaven. This cuts across the grain of a shallow Christianity; one that says once you call Jesus Lord that you’re good and will go to Heaven. Jesus tells us . . . not so fast! There is a way of saying . . .
