Nick had a chance to spend a few hours in the open world, and while the free-to-play live-service aspect is rubbing a lot of fans the wrong way, and the approach to monetization is still mostly under wraps, it sounds like it’s a fun enough time. Meanwhile, THPS3+4 features a cheeky little jab at Guitar Hero, with an easter egg featuring a familiar-looking rhythm game peripheral sitting in a garbage can. Some people think it’s funny, while others (like Activision) are less thrilled. In other news, Final Fantasy’s Naoki Yoshida offers a tidbit of insight on the future of the series’ combat folliowing the success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
