It’s Easter Sunday, so we dive into the messy, complicated, and deeply meaningful questions surrounding resurrection, belief, and what it all means in the world today. We explore the literal vs. metaphorical resurrection of Jesus and broader questions about God, suffering, and the reconciliation of all things. There is an element in the Easter resurrection story that rather than offering neat answers, embraces the tension of faith that doesn’t always fit into tidy boxes. Wrestling with doubt, grief, activism, and hope in a world marked by injustice and uncertainty can feel so difficult. But the invitation of the resurrection story opens for all of us to choose our level of engagement to lead to the reconciliation of all things. We can reimagine resurrection not as a distant theological concept, but as a lived, communal practice rooted in love, resistance, and the ongoing work of making things right that lead toward a more connected, compassionate, and hopeful way of being. We're your hosts, Marcus and Jessa Myer - a husband-and-wife team passionate about pursuing and telling the Truth. The more we study Scripture, the more we experience the ever-growing joy and pleasure found only in Jesus. We’ve been doing ministry together for the past 15 years, and one thing we’ve seen over and over again is that so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are desperately hungry for a deeper teaching of God’s Word. In each episode, we explore theology, doctrine, and practical wisdom that every believer should have the confidence to pursue. Join us as we uncover essential truths from Scripture and tackle difficult, sometimes controversial questions to provide you with biblical answers. Where the Enemy wants to keep the Church in a place of shallow faith and theological insecurity, our hope is that these conversations will equip you with boldness and assurance!
