How Flexible Dieting and “fitspo” culture is harming your health (ft. Illie Zeneli)

from The Taeler De Haes Podcast · host Taeler De Haes

Raise your hand if you are (or were) a proud flexible dieter. I’ll go first. Between Walden Farms syrups (even during a reverse diet), protein peanut butters and daily protein bars, I never looked at ingredients – only macros. I spent years screaming that food isn’t “good or bad” and to find “food freedom”, until I started developing symptoms. Weight loss resistance hit me hard in 2020, which is where I found out I had dysbiosis, adrenal fatigue and pre-menopausal hormones. Cravings were wild. Hunger cues were non-existent. But all be damned if I didn’t “hit my macros”. The bodybuilding lifestyle may produce great aesthetics, but the culture will indeed fuck your insides. This episode will ruffle some feathers. I’m joined with Illie Zeneli, a holistic health coach and owner of Live Healthillie, to dive into the dangers of food freedom and the “fitspo culture”. —-------------------- Follow Taeler on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/taelerfit/ Subscribe to YouTube for more business strategy and to watch the full episode. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM0B2uqZp9gjpOxtr4CKwAg Learn more about working with Taeler, whether you’re just starting your online coaching business or scaling to multi-6/7-figures. https://taelerdehaes.com/ Connect with Illie on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/healthillie/
