How Free is Free? Part 2

I still think far too much about what other people think of me. The good news is I think about it far less. The more I sit in the presence of Jesus, the more I become indifferent to the thoughts of others. I think I might be maturing.For too many years, I have made my faith about what I'm getting out of it--how my church does things that I like, how I chase the comfort of God's blessings, how I can dazzle with what I know about Scripture.As I grow, I'm beginning to see that my faith is actually about seeing and serving "others." Church, Scripture, and programs all have their place, but the end game is loving others with the love of Jesus--AGAPE.This is what the Apostle Paul has been getting at in his letter to Asheville...er...I mean, Corinth--that our motivation should be driven by our apprenticeship to Jesus, manifested in our concern, care and love for OTHERS.When we live like this, lost people become found, hurting people are healed, broken people are given new hope, the Church is unified and the world takes note.
