How God is involved in prayer

from HopeInMadison · host Andy Wulff

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14 ESV) "In Jesus' name. Amen." We all say it. We tack it on at the end. But what does it mean? Let's just admit it. Most of the time our prayers are rote. We mouth similar words that are familiar and unfelt. We feel guilt if we don't "say it right." But we also wonder if our prayers are really doing anything or even being heard. This week we will continue to explore the subject and practice of prayer. I want you to think about how God is involved in our prayers. And how that should encourage and aid us as we consider coming before him.
