Teresa English is a military veteran, mother, educator and is presently running for State Representative in Massachusetts, US. Teresa was forced to leave the airforce when she sustained a disabling injury. She then experienced a dark period in her life, eventually, overcoming adversity and building a new life for herself as a wife, mother and educator. In this episode Teresa reflects on her time in the airforce as a shy young woman, and how the public speaking skills she gained, have been put to good use at this later stage in her life. The pandemic accelerated everything for her as she witnessed the injustices and hardships around her, pushed through her fears and social anxiety, and put herself forward for local candidacy to enable her to dive deep into her mission to better the world around her. Teresa truly believes that having a mission that is bigger than herself has helped her conquer her fears of shyness and social anxiety. About Teresa English Teresa English is a military veteran, mother, educator and is presently running for State Representative in Massachusetts, US. Her mission is to seek ways in which she can better the world around her. She grew up in a small town with limited exposure to the outside world. The first step of her dive into her mission and belief was though joining the Air Force. There is a long history of military service in Teresa's family and she was the first woman in her family to join the Air Force. Unfortunately she was forced to leave following an injury. Teresa went through a dark period in her life, overcame adversity and is now a history teacher and also mother of 2 sons.
