How hot will Carolina weather get? | Let's Talk June 14, 2022
from Carolina Weather Group · host CarolinaWeatherGroup.com
Excessive heat will create dangerous weather conditions across North Carolina and South Carolina this week. A heat wave will impact the Carolinas through Friday. The high temperatures, combined with the humidity, will push the heat index over 100 degrees. The heat index is a measure of what the temperature outside really feels like. Weather this hot will make it hard for our bodies to cool down. With the proper ability to perspire, heat exhaustion and heat stroke are possible. Be safe and practice health precautions. Everyone should practice weather safety by remaining indoors, out of the sun, and continued hydration. Be sure to check on your neighbors, friends, and family. In addition to the heat, afternoon thunderstorms could be strong-to-severe. While these storms are expected to be scattered, isolated storms could bring damaging wind. Overall, rain chances stay low. Without rain and clouds, the temperature will stay hot, and vegetation will struggle.
