How I Met The Love of My Life Through Dance | Ep 57

from More Than Dance · host Krissy Phillipino

This is the first episode where I talk about dance the least but this is the most "More than Dance" episode because dance and my studio are the reasons why I was lead to my Joshy! This episode is all about my story with Josh and the era I call my bomb-ass-b*tch era  I was "doing me,”  I talk about how I got really honest with myself about what I actually wanted and how that pushed me into a totally different level of confidence, standards, and self trust.I share how I started creating real parameters in my dating life, and switched up what those parameters looked like. I got stricter about the quality of the person, the character, the emotional maturity, the way they showed up for me… and then I got more open about the things that I thought mattered and proved to NOT actually matter as much, like age, distance, and all the “rules” I swore I needed to follow.Dating tricks you into thinking you know exactly what’s good for you, choosing from your comfort zone instead of choosing from your future. There’s a comfort zone outside your comfort zone that’s waiting for you to get comfortable in it. And that comfort zone might come in a package, an age gap, a timing, or a situation you never pictured for yourself. This episode really leans into what you can control versus what you absolutely cannot.Your standards, your self-worth, your healing, and your openness vs. timing.... because timing is divine. Follow:Krissy: @krissyphillipinoKDFSTUDIO: @kdfstudio
