Bio Jamisa McIvor, owner of 9 properties, is a 24-year old wife and mother of two (expecting one). Through a lot of networking and learning experiences Jamisa was able to acquire 9 properties in just under one year. At the age of 21 Jamisa's grandmother gave her ownership of her property for $1 in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia using a dollar deed transfer. She was granted ownership to help with maintenance and taxes while her grandmother was alive. Not knowing the value of a house at 21 Jamisa overlooked the responsibility of owning a house. (7:30) It wasn't until her grandmother passed for her real estate journey to take off. Jamisa bought her very own first property in February of 2017 and was able to build an outstanding real estate portfolio in a year time span. How I Purchased My First Nine Properties in One Year The beginning of her journey kicked off when Jamisa's grandmother left the house to her and she didn't know what to do. Having no plan and no money to rehab the house given to her Jamisa had to figure out a plan. "I had a family and didn't have the money to fix it up" (8:31) She wanted to sell the house but didn't have a clue about selling houses, good/bad offers, etc. "Every contractor told me i had to put in 60k to this one house and at this point i was living a regular life, working a regular job, making regular money" Broadening her horizon, Jamisa then began to meet and network with knowledgeable individuals (including Nicole Purvy herself) that helped her learn some twists and ropes of the game. After expanding her knowledge, Jamisa created a plan for this one house and it mounted her mind into making life changing moves. "I did not to go back to work, need more properties" (15:26) Jamisa now Has tenants Owns a "treehouse"  (One of Jamisa's real estate eye opening experience) and Has her own business guiding new investors.
