How Invasive Plants Are Threatening Northwest Grasslands, Rare Plants

Native grasses once blanketed the Palouse country of southeastern Washington. Today, much of this hilly terrain has been converted to wheat fields.In one such grassland botanists have discovered several new flowering plants. But an invasive grass is making scientists worried that these rare plants could be in big trouble soon.
