How is “dying daily” easy and light?!?

Are the Jews still under the Law? Are they trying to keep it? Where do Gentiles fit into the picture? Do we really have to take up our cross daily? If so, how could that be easy and light like Jesus said? What are your thoughts on giving up things for Lent? My kids don’t understand how we count three days between the crucifixion and resurrection. The math doesn’t seem to add up!
