Responsible investment policies, sustainability due diligence and net zero strategies are becoming part of the common vernacular. Regulatory pressures have forced this issue up the agenda, but private equity isn’t treating this as a simple compliance exercise. Instead this has become a primary value creation lever. This webinar will explain the sustainability pressures on private equity and how sustainability is adding value at different stages in the fund lifecycle. It will also show why sustainability is here to stay. Speaker:  Harry Briggs is a sustainability specialist within the asset management sector. Harry’s focus is on assisting private equity clients with their responsible investment policy, portfolio engagement strategy, regulatory compliance, and outsourced sustainability reporting. Prior to establishing Terra Instinct, Harry was a Director of Sustainability at KPMG where he worked on these issues with asset managers.  Harry has recently led a sustainability reporting project at The Prince of Wales’s Accounting for Sustainability organization. In this role he deep dived on sustainability reporting challenges around governance, materiality, data control and reporting standards with circa 30 of the world’s largest multinational organizations. Harry is a member of the EU’s EFRAG working group for sustainability standards in the financial services industry. Harry is also a non-executive advisor to the UK Future Homes organization and sits on the Embodied Carbon expert working group in the UK Government’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
