How James Gunn Fixed Superman

from Breakdowns & Blockbusters Hosted by Breakdowns & Blockbusters

James Gunn’s Superman brings back the classic Man of Steel Warner Bros. spent decades trying to move away from: the red trunks, Krypto the Superdog, Fortress robots, bright colors, and a Superman who saves a squirrel in the middle of a kaiju fight because every life matters. After Superman Lives, Superman Returns, and Man of Steel, David Corenswet’s Superman embraces the sincerity, kindness, and comic book weirdness Hollywood kept treating like a problem. The movie’s biggest swing is the controversial Kryptonian parents twist, which redefines Clark Kent’s goodness as something he learned from Jonathan and Martha Kent, not a destiny handed down by Jor-El and Lara. ⏱️TIMESTAMPS⏱️0:00 The Superman Problem2:05 Man of Steel3:49 James Gunn4:52 Krypto6:44 Superman's Parents7:58 Saving the Squirrel9:02 Red Trunks 🔴 Subscribe for more videos just like this: https://shorturl.at/atCD9 #superman #dcuniverse Breakdowns & Blockbusters is represented by Digital Fox Talent.
