from Live Train Perform · host Shaun Kober
I met Rob in 2015 when he was a coach at Unit 27, in Phuket, Thailand, whilst I was on one of my month-long trips training in Thailand prior to a couple of months of annual travel around the world. In this episode, Rob and I discuss his unique circumstances of being caught outside his primary country of residence as the world went into lockdown through the pandemic. Rob was based in Thailand, running health and fitness retreats, prior to leaving for Australia with his wife to give birth to their first child. A few weeks later, as the world went into lockdown, what they had planned to be a short-term trip of a few months, turned into an unknown duration with a lot of uncertainty, and limited means of generating income with his current business model. We discuss:- The implications of being "caught" in Australia as his wife gave birth to their first child amidst the unknown, as the world went into lockdown- How his life changed, along with the associated adjustments needed to be made during this time- What this period of time meant for his business, and how he needed to pivot to provide for his family- Building good quality habits become the path of least resistance- What does a recovery day look like, and how do to implement the many different recovery protocolsYour host - Shaun KoberInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/coach_kobes/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/performancef...
