In a recent email sent to staff, Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medicine stated their support for a Maryland bill that would expand the types of "medically necessary gender-affirming treatments" covered by the state’s Medicaid program, including puberty blockers for children. Gen Z is not only staying home longer, but it is also not getting driver's licenses. A new report from the Washington Post claims that far fewer people born between late 1996 and 2012 are getting their licenses than those born in previous generations. WaPo is citing fear, anxiety, finances, and even environmental concerns as factors contributing to the decrease in driver’s license acquisition.
